US Navy WW II watercraft losses

    Very enlightening post, Salty, thanks!

    I was surprised by the listing of 54 Subs lost, as I thought the number was 52. But the footnote at the end of the list explained the difference!

    One of my good friends, both of us being members of the same Baptist church, was a World War II Submarine sailor. Honored to know him. I also knew dozens of sailors out of our Nuclear Navy during the 80's and 90's. I liked the belt buckle one of them wore. It read, "Pride Runs Deep." That always brought to mind how our service to our Lord is controlled by our deep seated commitment, no matter the danger, to our faith in God.
