I wouldn't worry much about that. The military has ways to bring out "the warrior within."

Someone's a bit scared of women.

Real men got over this years ago. It's OK to hold a baby, get moist-eyed when the National Anthem is played, and to coach your little girl in soccer.

Nothing to be afraid of. You can still like guns, and drink beer, and everything. You don't even have to dress well. (I know I don't)

Get over it. Get over yourself.

To ignore this or declare it knee jerk is folly. It has been going on for some time. Witness the entrenched "conflict resolution" in all public and most private schools today. They are the front line movement in the demasculinizing of the American male.

Have a look at nearly all commercials today involving couples. The woman is the strong masculine type and the male is clumsy inept and subservient. It's all planned, pervasive and here to stay.

You know that much of entrenched "conflict resolution" was put into place to prevent massacres. Do you think learning how to resolve conflicts without violence is feminine?

Actually, the woman is the strong womanly type - at least in the commercials selling to women. Even back in the hallowed, masculine 1950s, men were portrayed as domestic clutzes, the poor dears. The henpecked husband has been a comedic cliche for centuries, as has his counterpart, the battle-axe wife. No longer considered humorous are the brute husband and beatup wife.

It was actually a little more hysterical than that. I'm figuring either this guy is a die-hard Aquaman fan, or he's kinda scared of women.

Whatever reason it was put in place, the opposite is actually the case. These massacres have increased greatly since boys have been stopped from fighting. They are now taught feminine techniques for settling differences. Satan is alive and well on planet earth.

"Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are the meek: for they shall posses the land.
Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God."

    And now, the add-on...

"Unless they're male of course: for such among us shall be called girly-men."

Somehow, that doesn't sound like Jesus, does it?

Do you have any dates and numbers to back your assertion?

According to you, nonviolence is feminine? You're contending that they are taught nonviolence, yet violence is increasing?

Violence was never taught as a natural way of life for "men" and non-violence as a way of life for "women".

Better the man who walks away from violence, as the Bible teaches us to "turn the other cheek". Ambassadors have no armies, battleships or cannons...their only weapons are words and opportunities......part of a quote written in 343 BC.

I have never seen a woman wearing a beard like mine...I am certainly not feminine!

    Cheers,

    Jim

Violence is now taught in our society to be always inappropriate. That is unbiblical. Christ Himself used violence to cleanse the temple, and will violently overthrow the Antichrist at the Second Coming.

Opposition to all forms of violence begets violence. Example: Jimmy Carter's sickly response to Iran's seizure of our embassy gave the US a wimpy reputation in the Mideast. And we are now paying the price.

A strong, manly stand can prevent unnecessary violence (bullying) in the long run, as any self defense advocate knows. I got in fights a couple of times in high school, but since I began the Asian martial arts in college 34 years ago, I've never had to use them. I have often heard the same story from other martial artists, too.

    Amen!

Bullies hate someone stronger than they are . . . whether the strength is mental, physical, or spiritual - they have a big inferiority complex and the are constantly trying to make themselves feel better by bullying others.

Careful how you interpret here, Jim. That verse does not mean to always turn the cheek in every instance. Remember an occasion when Paul did not turn the other cheek (Acts 23:3).

Jesus acknowledged the right of self defense in John 18:36--"Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence."

Better a little bravery in the face of trying times, than a lot of misplaced pacifism . . .

. . . I personally do not like war. I want our men and women home. But, when you let a bully bully - you have lost.
