Using Nativity Scene to protest Immigration Services is disgusting!

Forgive me child of God, BUT the way I see the placement of the Nativity Scene behind chain-link fencing in order to protest the way illegals crossing our borders are held after being apprehended for illegal entry to this country, is SHAMEFUL and DISGUSTING!

I see no problem with a church making their views on the treatment of illegals sneaking across our border after they are caught KNOWN. . . However, to put something as sacred and holy as the nativity scene behind chain-link fencing to make a political point is inappropriate, and I do believe Father will hold those who have decided to voice their disagreement with the American Immigration Services in this manner will be judged accordingly!

Here in Indianapolis the Episcopal Church did the same thing at Christ Church Cathedral on the Circle in the very heart of downtown Indianapolis. It is stupid because Obama started it. This year the communist Pope Francis said that the current POTUS is just like King Herod. Well, Pope Francis, you are just like Benito Mussolini by going around assaulting people in public over differences in political policy, but then you were a Peronist in Argentina and Peronists are exact copies of fascists.

It's an insult to Jesus, & nothing more.

Jesus was not a "undocumented immigrant" any more than anyone else. No one documented immigrants in that place/time. Many Jews traveled to Egypt; many Egyptians traveled to Judah. And a craftsman like Joseph would be especially welcome in wood-poor Egypt, where carpenters were few & far-between.

And Jerusalem had an influx of foreign merchants 6 days a week. Obviously, they were welcome, & often stayed awhile to hawk their goods & rest their camels.

Yeah, we debated that last year. Both Israel and Egypt were part of the Roman Empire so the Holy Family were in the same country or empire it was decided. Secondly, the Holy Family had the gifts of the Magi and were not indigent. Furthermore, Joseph was a skilled craftsman. So Moore did not convince me to join the Democrat Party.

Moore evidently knows little Scripture or history. First, at that time, most Egyptians spoke Aramaic, as did most Jews. Most Jews & Egyptians were bilingual, if not proficiant in more than 2 languages. Aramaic was the main language used by people of different nations to communicate, with Greek being second.

Jesus could speak any language He wanted, with His supernatural intelligence & knowledge. He likely spoke hebrew with His disciples, insteada Aramaic, as many suppose. (Remember, at the "first pentecost", Peter & the others who were preaching evidently did so in Hebrew, as they had a "Galilean" accent.)

And immigration was VERY common, as were foreign visitors to all the nations in that area. Jerusalem was visited by foreign caravans of merchants 6 days a week, who often tarried to rest their camels. And so was Egypt. Caravans went both ways thru Egypt & Judea constantly, & had done so for several millenia.

And, as CMG said above, both Egypt & Judea were part of the Roman empire, so, while Jesus wasn't a Roman citizen as Paul was, He was a Roman subject, as were His earthly parents.
