oops! Under question 2 Option should be NASB nor NSAB.
And question 5 option 2 should be NRSV not RSV.

I have not personally spent much time in the ESV or the HCSB, so these were not accurate on my vote ( the pole made me choose one). I also don't like any gender inclusive translation, unless it is certain that the text meant mankind. I'm not certain, but I think some versions use gender inclusive language in places where it is gender specific. Some of these versions have taken some of the study out of people because they no longer have to see whether it is inclusive or not.

My answers are also skewed a little, as I do read the NKJV, NASB, and NLT. I use the NIV on Biblegateway and I have the HCSB on CD disk. I don't read or own the others, so I cannot say much (I chose the CEV for a childs bible, as that is what I would buy if I were to buy one - my kids are old enough to read adult Bible's and no grandchildern yet).

I'm amazed at all the selections.

I really don't have that many good or bad opinions about the various versions.

I primarily use the one I've used since first becoming a Christian, the NAS. I have limited exposure to many if not most of the others.

    Question you should have asked:

    Which is your favorite KJV(AV)?
    vote for one
    1. KJV1611
    2. KJV1762 or KJV1769
    3. KJV1872 (some say it is a KJV1850)

I couldn't do this poll for 2 reasons:
    1. For some questions, I didn't prefer any of the possible versions
    2. For some questions, I am not familiar with all the versions listed, so I can't honestly say which I prefer

I tried to answer the questions I had an answer to and leave the others blank, but it wouldn't let vot that way. So I couldn't vote. [IMG]

I don't recall seeing the NET Bible on the poll. I prefer it to the NASB. Here is what one site says about it:

It is available online, but if you want a hard copy, you need to order from the online site as I don't think it's in stores. They have done a 2nd version and are refining that for their 3rd and final publication, which I plan to buy whenever it's done.

You all are right! I thought about it after I posted the poll. But you cant edit polls. I should have had a "No Opinion" option in each one.
If the moderators will delete this poll I will post another one. I should not have tried to post a poll like this on Sunday morning when I am rushing to get my family and I ready for Sunday School. Forgive me.
