Virginia Gun Rally

Well, much to the chagrin of Governor Blackface and other assorted Democrats, the gun rally held today in Richmond Virginia passed peacefully into the history books. Here we had good law abiding American citizens who respect the Constitution peacefully protesting the terrible laws that are being considered in Virginia. It was outrageous that those in power attempted to paint these good citizens as some sort of white supremacists instead of the good law abiding patriots that they really are.

I even saw they were passing around trash bags and cleaning up after the rally, unlike many leftist rallies which leave a huge mess.

Of course, we know the lamestream media will try to spin it their way by saying that the 2nd Amendment extremists were foiled by Governor Northam's brave state of emergency.

How shocking to read such a phrase: "sanctuary counties for firearms rights." Trump would be right to intervene in such a situation, to restore those rights to the entirety of the state, forcefully if necessary.
...

Further Resolved
, That the Legislature directs that the Clerk of the House forward copies of this resolution to the Board of Supervisors of each county in the Commonwealth of Virginia who have voted to become sanctuary counties for firearms rights, and to the Council of each independent city in the Commonwealth of Virginia who have voted to become sanctuary cities for firearms rights; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the Legislature directs that the Clerk of the House forward copies of this resolution to the Clerk of the House of Delegates and Clerk of the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Virginia and requests, in a spirit of peace and goodwill, that the General Assembly will allow this measure for the peaceful transfer of peoples and the restoration of harmony to the Virginias; and, further requests, in a continuance of such spirit, that any firearms legislation proposed by that body have an effective date far enough into the future so that this exchange of peoples and territory could be accomplished before the effective date of such legislation.

I expect that the voters will 'intervene' as they did in the 1994 midterm elections:

Bill Clinton's Costly Assault Weapons Ban

"Patrick Griffin, his chief congressional affairs lobbyist, recalls the lead up to the bill’s passage in 1994—and the steep political price that followed....."

"...We] made some concession [in the Senate] and, boom, we got the bill done and went to conference [and finally passed]. That was a whole other trauma, a story in itself. The rest is history. We lost 53 seats in the rural areas [in the 1994 midterms], particularly in the South.

When asked if this bill was a key element, Griffin said: “Absolutely. Yes. I’d say, for 40 of those seats, yes. For [Judiciary Committee] Chairman [Jack] Brooks (of Texas) to lose his seat [after 42 years]? Foley? These guys had been safe forever. And they voted against all this stuff but they were still targeted politically because their president was for the [assault weapon] ban.”"

Republican Revolution

"The Republican Revolution, Revolution of '94, or Gingrich Revolution, refers to the Republican Party (GOP) success in the 1994 U.S. midterm elections,[1] which resulted in a net gain of 54 seats in the House of Representatives, and a pickup of eight seats in the Senate. The day after the election, conservative Democrat Senator Richard Shelby of Alabama changed parties, becoming a Republican; on March 3, 1995, Colorado senator Ben Nighthorse Campbell switched to the Republican side as well, increasing the GOP senate majority...."

"...Numerous Republican freshmen entered Congress. Of the 230 Republican House members of the 104th Congress, almost a third were new to the House.[3] In the Senate, 11 of 54 (20%) Republicans were freshmen...."

Sad to say they should have gotten out and voted in the last election that saw the Democrats win the majority in the legislature. I saw one young gun owner who was interviewed who said he didn't vote and now he was sorry he didn't go to the polls. I imagine there are more out there like him. Voting for the right people is the simplest thing to go.
