Vista SP1

    Just read a couple of changes that you might not see right away in SP!. The deframentation program comes default set to run once a week so if you don't want your drive wearing itself out you might want to change the schedule a little.

    The backup program now allows you to do a complete system back up now so that might be of interest to some.

    Wear out your drive? I have O&O to automatically defrag mine as needed. ;)

    I don't have to worry about Vista SP1 since I STILL haven't installed it because I STILL haven't installed my new hard drive. I will be dual-booting once i do, though. i may have a horror story or two once I get around to it... maybe this weekend if the yard will let me.

    I have installed the beta of SP3 for XP without any problems, though.

    SP3, thought they were dropping xp :laugh: Have to watch for that.

    I'm amazed at drives these days, I have an hp in the garage that has been running for 5.5 years and a good part of that is 24/7. Then again there is that maxtor external that barely made it three months :laugh:

    Let us know how SP3 goes.

    I heard through the grapevine that it is supposed to be officially released for manual downloading on April 29, and then pushed as an update in June. Nothing official fromMS yet, though. The beta has been out for a while, and has had a couple of "refreshes".
