    Did you know that Voyager was launched in 1977.

    36 years later - on 12 Sep - Voyager left our Solar System!

    If the "Oort Cloud" comprised supposedly of long term comets, is indeed "orbiting" our Sun, then Voyager 1 did not exit our "solar system" when it passed through the heliosphere ( the outer edge of the solar wind bubble). OTOH, I doubt the Oort cloud actually exists....

    And its computer is still workimg. mine seem to last a cople of years before something goes wrong. i wonder what sort of storage system it used?

    I am indeed.

    The theme song to that movie made for a great half-time performance for marching bands across the country. The university I attended at the time made the national recording of it.
