It's awful hard to be in a bad mood when you can play a banjo.

It can be apres-BaptistBoard politics forum therapy.

I would love to win a banjo even though I don't how to play one. However, I have no problem with the idea of learning to play the banjo while learning to play guitar. :)

I learned clawhammer style banjo recently, and have found it really hard to put it down.

Best way to tune a banjo? Wire cutters!

Seriously though, thanks Ken. I entered.

I prefer to listen to the three-finger style. However, Sandy Cherryholmes(the mother of the group) plays clawhammer style banjo and I enjoyed listening to her at their concert I went to in January. One of the Cherryholmes' daughters, Cia, plays a very fine three-finger style.

I don't want to make you jealous, but I have hung out with that family, at a festival in Washington, got to talk with all of them, 'cept the dad, who don't talk. They are great folks, and great to the people that go see them.

    Check this kid out....

Always wanted to give the banjo a try. The clawhammer sounds like something I might be interested in how's that work on the banjo Bro? Same as the guitar?

That's interesting since the dad is so funny in his comments during their show. Also, a song he sings lead on, "Red Satin Dress", is one of my favorite Cherryholmes songs, right next to "Black and White".

    Sorry I missed this.

I'll be putting up two or three clawhammer lessons, on the Montana Rockies Bluegrass Association MySpace page. I'll let you know when it goes up.
