It's hardly news that black conservatives are reviled among much of the left. There seems to be a sense among much of the liberal media that they have betrayed their own interests through their conservative principles.

Few, however, would have the (dare I say it) audacity to lump prominent and accomplished African American political figures in with oppressive genocidal dictators and serial killers.

But TheRoot.com, a blog owned by the Washington Post, seems to have no qualms about doing so, as evidenced in its list of 21 "Black Folks We'd Like To Remove From Black History". Among the names are Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas and Republican Party Chairman Michael Steele.

Also included on the list: murderous Ugandan military dictator Idi Amin, the notorious "DC Sniper" John Allen Muhammad, Zimbabwean kleptocrat Robert Mugabe and the ruthless father-and-son Haitian dictators "Papa Doc" and "Baby Doc" Duvalier.

Yes, apparently being right-of-center and of African descent puts you on par with murderers and dictators.

Does this come as a surprise? It simply goes to show that blacks were exploited to further a Marxist agenda. The Civil Rights Act was never really about civil rights. It was about extending the power and scope of the federal government.

The liberal establishment has done more to keep "em down on the plantation than Jim Crow, Dixiecrats or "Confederates" ever had a chance to do!

The only difference is that they are willing for the libs to keep the shanty towns because the libs have convinced them that they can't survive without their "most benevolent" assistance.

Ergo, the hatred and revulsion of those blacks who have succeeded W/O the help of the Demoncrats.

I actually heard a black guy on a talk show once state that "--blacks do not consider Clarence Thomas a black!"

Have to credit the Demoncrats; they have done a masterful job in convincing most blacks that to vote other than "D" is virtual suicide. I mean they are so convinced that pulling the "D" lever is like breathing; just automatic and absolutely essential to life itself.

If the experience of the maverick blacks that have succeeded on their own ever became common knowledge, the Ds would fold next election never to rise again.

I couldn't agree more! If the black man was required to work to live, we might see more of them be the husbands and fathers that is needed to establish a family where the children can have some self-esteem and not continue to live on the streets. They have been sold a bill of goods by the very laws that keep them in poverty.

Now, before someone blows a gasket, I realize that there are many black men who have not bought into the handout mentality and work as hard as anyone else. These are the blacks who succeed and raise children who benefit society.
