Warner said we know Russia meddled in our election and favored Trump. Then he said Russia's goal is a weaker United states, both economically and globally. Now which is it? If Russia's goal is a weaker USA both globally and economically then Russia would not have wanted Trump, but would have been backing Hillary 100%.

You know what a false dilemma is, right?

I hope so, because your thread is soaking in it.

Yes, to both.

See? False dilemma.

Why do you think if Hillary would have won that Russia would have been happy with that?
Yes to both doesn't make any sense. Who thinks Hillary would have made America stronger both economically or globally. She ran a campaign of stay the Obama course and all reputable analyst say Obama weakened us in both of these areas. So i don't know why you would see it as a false dilemma. In addition Obama let Putin do whatever he wanted in the world and Hillary gave him all the uranium he wanted. If Russia wanted to continue Obama's weakening of the USA they would have backed Hillary not Trump.

The Russians want division. That is the weaker America endstate that they work towards. Americans infighting amongst ourselves instead of focusing on tbe world stage.

And the dems are falling for it hook line and sinker. They are giving the Russian meddling validation, when nothing they did influenced the election at all. The people didn't like Hillary, they liked Trump. Had nothing to do with Russia. The Russians have been doing their propaganda assaults for decades around the world, but now them dems can't handle their humiliating loss and they still need a scape goat for Hillary. the Russians are loving all this attention the US is giving the world for them. They couldn't ask for more. Way to go dems!

Who cares about Trump's tweets? Do you really expect him to be unbiased and impartial when the subject is HIMSELF? His tweets are not "fake news" nor are they news at all. They are Donald Trump's rambling running commentary and that is all they are.

The OT is getting old - Mark Warner KNOWS Russia interfered with the election? How so? Does he have evidence, or is this just his opinion, a gut feeling or something like that?

I think he's got nothing because I can't see a scenario where Obama wouldn't have leaked the evidence himself. They are going a step further though, they are saying that Russia colluded with Trump during the election? HOW??? Out with it, Mark, time for show and tell or for you and your allies to put down that fishing pole.

Exactly! How long has this "investigation" been going on now and ZERO evidence has been presented.

Of course they wanted Trump. It makes perfect sense. They know he is a blowhard and that he can be manipulated. Also, just perhaps, Putin really does have him in his hip pocket. Thus at worst Trump is a Putin puppet and at best a president that Putin knows will not do anything to really harm Russia.

Zero evidence? Let's see....

US Intelligence services say that the Russians attempted to influence the US elections by hacking DNC emails and disseminating these emails to benefit the Trump campaign.

Michael Flynn had contact with Russian government officials, took money from a Russian company (which he didn't divulge on his employment contract with the Trump administration). He lied about his contact with Russians and was fired from his job as National Security Adviser. He is now seeking immunity from prosecution in exchange for his testimony.

According to US intelligence agencies Paul Manafort, Trump campaign director for most of the campaign, had regular contacts with Russian officials during the campaign. He has been linked to the Kremlin-backed (now deposed) Ukranian prime minister Yanukovych. Manafort quit the campaign after he learned the FBI was investigating whether or not US firms (including Manafort's firm) were involved in political corruption in Ukraine.

Senior Trump aide and Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner met with the Russian ambassador in December.

Carter Page and J.D. Gordon, national security advisers to Trump's campaign also met with the Russian ambassador, at the Republican National Convention.

Speaking of the RNC in Cleveland, delegates removed language from the party platform calling for military assistance for Ukraine.

And this is all "talk". No evidence of any wrong doing presented as of yet. Tell us who has been brought up on charges so far?

Michael Flynn was fired for no reason, I guess.
Paul Manafort quit the Trump campaign for no reason, coincidentally the same day the FBI opened an investigation on his company.

It's an ongoing investigation. Let it play out.

And Obama/Hillary did what to harm Russia???
How about harm to America?

Allegedly Hillary allowed top secret information to be hacked by her highly illegal storage of classified information on a private server in her bathroom.

Why hasn't this become part of the 'investigation" as she is therefore the most likely to have exposed our secrets to the Russian/Ukraine espionage teams. Inadvertently no doubt but exposed nonetheless.
