Dale A. Burkholder quoted from a 1693 book by Greorg Thormann where he referred to "the old Froschauer Bible printed in 1531 in Zurich, which they accept as the only authentic translation" (The Scriptures Preserved & Translated, p. 223).
Dale Burkholder noted: "The early Swiss-German Anabaptist immigrants brought the Froschauer Bible with them to America" (p. 226).
Dale Burkholder wrote: "Generally speaking, the Froschauer German Bible was used by the Swiss Anabaptists and their successors for 225 years, the Luther's German Bible for about 140 years, and to date (as of 2022) the King James English Bible for around 130 years. Some groups used the German Bible longer, and it is still in use by some Old Order Mennonites, the Amish, certain groups among the so-called Russian Mennonites in the Americas, and most Hutterites" (p. 228).
Dale Burkholder wrote: "Some Hutterite groups (who also read sermons from the 1500s and 1600s) use a reprint of the Froschauer to this day" (p. 228).
