Washington Post Blames Trump For Hurricane Florence

:Roflmao:Roflmao

"humans are priming the Earth’s systems to produce disasters'"

Yes believe it or not
'When it comes to extreme weather, Mr. Trump is complicit. He plays down humans’ role in increasing the risks, and he continues to dismantle efforts to address those risks. It is hard to attribute any single weather event to climate change. But there is no reasonable doubt that humans are priming the Earth’s systems to produce disasters'

See, this is Trump Derangement Syndrome in an advanced stage. I am so sick of the left politicizing natural disasters, and they've been trying to do it every single time there is a hurricane IF the president happens to be a Republican.

They damaged GWB bad with Katrina when it was really so bungled at a local level but when Sandy struck, the MSM went on to gush about Obama's "leadership skills" and oohed and ahhed over every photo-op. I think they are now drooling over the possibility of Florence causing catastrophic damage that they will then try to blame Trump for because he doesn't believe in "climate change", as if there was cause and effect here. TDS, terminal phase.

Why didn't he issue an executive order for Florence to turn out to sea!

And these are supposed to be the most educated among us? In the words of the great storyteller Mr. Jerry Clower (To paraphrase): "These people are educated well beyond their intelligence".

Yes and Al Gore the creator of the internet the wisest of them all.

Actually Samuel B. Morse was the creator of the internet.

May 24, 1844 He connected to transceivers using a metallic medium transmitting data in binary code over a 24 mile wire infant hyperspace from Washington to Baltimore - Sorry Al.

Samuel F.B. Morse Sent the First Telegraphic Message

May 24, 1844 The message :
"What hath God wrought". IMO this was the date of the beginning of the Industrial Revolution although some historians would make that date the date of the cotton gin invention by Eli Whitney accept no one is sure of the date. 1793 through 1810

Wow, I'm watching the storm just about to come ashore as a Cat1 (not Cat 3 or 4 as predicted) 90 mph winds. Since Tr*ump is responsible the Wash Post will thank him.

Indeed. Lets hope they take this opportunity to thank the administration for reducing Florence to Cat 1.

Cat 2 winds recorded at Wilmington, NC. However, the big story on this 'cane will be flooding, from both storm surge and mongo rain - probably more the latter.

I am not down playing the threat. It is substantial.

I am pointing out that for the last few days, every forecast that I saw stated the cat4 was was traveling over unusually warm waters (due to climate change) which would keep it cat4, possible cat5, as it approached, and would be at least cat3 and probable cat4 when it came ashore.

It came ashore cat1, thank God. However, that is horrible forecasting.

They also blamed Tr*no for not fixing global w*rming.

Predicting hurricane track and (especially) strength 2,3,4 days in advance has a very high error bar, and always has - meteorology is a very humbling science.
IIRC, those 130+ landfall winds were made when the storm was 2-3 days from landfall. At LF minus 24 hr, the ones I saw had 120 as the on-the-beach velocity, still about 15 mph high, and the NHC call for where it would come ashore was within about 25 miles, and if that's not the X-ring, it's certainly in the black. (Worth noting that other weather forecasters were quite variable in their landfall location/windspeed.)

As a Cat 1 and 2 landfall Florence is causing mega billions (probably) of damage.

We can be thankful it was not a 4 or 5 at landfall.

I don't envy meteorologists their job. so they were off as to Florence landfall power.

They saved lives.

There are almost 1 million who would be without power, gasoline (only in the tank) cell phones, etc..
