We got a letter from Granny G

Thank you for posting that note, Clint. I have
Granny's address, and a package will soon be
off to her.

Tell her not to worry: we have a sweet young
poster here (who shall remain nameless) who
reminds me of Granny Gumbo in her notes and
attitudes. Tell Granny that this young lady will
keep her memory here on the board, even though
Granny has left it.

She must be a beautiful lady, inside and out. Just look at her picture from way back! We shall all miss her feisty but kind personality. Our prayer is that she may keep the joy of the Lord in her heart always.

BTW, what a beautiful gesture. She gave her computer to some young folks. Isn't that nice, and it speaks volumes of her Godly character?

 

I got a letter from her this morning. I had been really worried about her, and last night I prayed that the Lord would just let me know she's alright, and what do ya know, I wake up to a letter from her in the mail box.
I love her to death. I'm sending her a reply, and some other things through the mail. No one gets away from me that easily! Now don't that just depress ya'll? Ya'll stuck with me!
I don't think anyone really knows just what a blessing she's been to me. Like a second grandma. A true example of a godly lady is what she is. I'm so thankful the Lord saw fit to allow me to know her!
Yeap, Barnabas, she gave it to some young people from Old Paths Baptist si they can keep in touch with their missionaries. Even in giving her computer away, she found a way to glorify God in it!

Only a newby to the BB, but an admirer of our elder sister in the faith. It would be nice if someone could copy and paste responses and forward them to this precious child of the living God. Her years of faithfulness and dedication are an inspiration to us all, and may we lift her up in our prayers and seek to retain many of her jewels of wisdom to emulate in our daily walk with the Master.

We shall certainly miss you Granny, but our lives and hearts have been blessed by knowing you through your many posts. May God surround her with His awesome love, and bless her so greatly as she has so blessed the hearts and lives of others.

I am so surprised. Granny has a heart of gold. I met her at a camp meeting at Old Paths Baptist Church. I was quite amazed when I found out she was Granny Gumbo. She is truly a sweet lady and very strong in her beliefs-but not a mean bone in her body. I know the young lady she gave her computer to. Her sister and brother-n-law are in the Phillipines as missionaries. It will be such a blessing for this family to be able to communicate back and forth.

Granny, if you get wind of this---I love you and am going to miss you terribly.

 

I was also thinking of Granny for a couple of days already, and was wondering what to do. I was considering posting a topic on her, something like; "Anybody know where granny is and farmerwife?"

But the Lord knew my mind and answer my question before asking.

Granny has been also to me like a grandmother online
I admire her very much. And I´m sure she is a godly women although I never met her personaly.
Granny may God bless you and also the farmerwife, I have learn much of you too. I appreciate you very much.

And I agree that someone should print this topic out and sent it to her. That is the only way she can read this message since I don´t have her address.

I got my letter from Granny today. Of course I already knew what she had done. I am printing everyones reply so far and sending it to her. She will be pleased to her what everyone has said.

 

On my last post I said that I would copy this thread and send it to Granny. Well today I got another letter from and she was so delighted by everyones reply! She said to tell everyone howdy for her.

That's so sweet!
Ya know, being on boards a lot you just get used to people leaving and even if we talked a lot I usually don't think much of it, nobody who leaves ever really keeps in contact.
So I'm really impressed with Granny for doing so..it shows she's a truly caring person, and that's a rare thing to find anymore!
