I watched Sean Hannity's interview last night. My conclusion is this:
Zimmerman was doing his duty as a watchman. Trayvon attacked Zimmerman, physically and verbally threatened to kill him. Zimmerman defended himself and Trayvon paid for his actions with his life. Sad loss of life, but when you attack someone, you'd better be ready for the consequence.
Now yahoo news has ignored statements and focused the entire interview on one statement: that it was God's plan for Zimmerman to kill Trayvon. That's the twist you get when you read the article. Zimmerman did mention God's plan, but in the context of how he would do things differently.
The closing statement in the yahoo piece was from Trayvon's mother:
"He also said that he doesn't regret anything that he did that night," Fulton said. "I don't think God would have him, in his plan, to murder an innocent child."
An "innocent child" doesn't go around attacking and beating the crap out of people. And, this is not a murder. So she's wrong on both. And thirdly, part of God's plan is reaping and sowing. So, she's completely wrong.
