Hmmmmmmm, IF this gets any attention besides passing curiosity it can be used in either of two ways.

creationists: See? We told you so.

Personally I think this shark looks like a tax gatherer or a car dealer

These have been known to live at great depths for a long time. Because the deep sea hasn't changed much over time, there are a lot of animals that haven't changed much either.

I was gonna say that all sharks are weird-looking, but this one takes the cake.

How does a fish that lives in water 2000 feet deep come out with it's guts still inside ? I've caught little bitty dogfish sharks in Boston that can't handle a 150 foot change in pressure.

But they are handsome sharks compared to this unfortunate critter.

    C. megalodon appeared about the same time that whales were first venturing into the open ocean. They were relatively slow and being large and edible, sharks got bigger to handle them.

Then whales got even bigger, faster, and some of them got a lot meaner, probably turning the tables on the slower and less adaptable sharks, as orcas do today. And C. megalodon wasn't able to adjust to the new realities. About the time sperm whales and orcas appeared, the monster sharks disappeared.
