I'm not just new to Baptist Board ... I've never been on any board!
Be patient with this old dog as I try to learn new tricks - thanks for having me!

The big trick is to remember not to believe anything that Padre or RevMitchell says about me:smilewinkgrin:

And a great big welcome from the Empire State and our Governor the Honorable whats his name; who vetoed a bill submitted on my behalf by my Democratic Assemblyman. It was to waive the $10 license plate fee for members of the New York Guard

Now here is a truly great soul who steps up and provides me with my first impression. Okay, let me make certain I have this straight. Anything that either Padre or RevMitchell says about you is to be disregarded as untruthful and most likely malicious in nature. To extrapolate ... everything that either Padre or RevMitchell says is untruthful and malicious in nature. This is of great value and I thank you.
The rest of you should emulate SALTCITYBAPTIST 's forthrightness.

Thanks kyredneck - my Mother's grandfather's people were Trimbles from, well, Trimble County over to the southwest of Cincinnati.
A family legend relates how they raised parakeets and sold them to the folks out in places like South Dakota (Repent-or-Burn's momma for one) but the Sodaks didn't understand that parakeets plus snow equals chick-on-a-stick. Their tragic demise gave rise to Repent-or-Burn's unhappiness in life (they were his only friends) but the family did all right, finding a market for the birds back east in - you guessed it - SALTCITYBAPTIST's New York, where they're considered a delicacy to this day.
Kind of a thing.
