Thomas, I have often wondered about and prayed for you, my friend. I hope you are doing well.
So far, so good. I had a bit of a rough time in February, 2009, but somehow I pulled through. Then I did it again in February, 2011, but, again, I fooled the doctors and managed to survive. In February, 2013 I did it once again.
I think next year I am going to skip February altogether!
I take a lot of meds for my heart, but I am now cancer free. My MS is slowing me down (way down) but some days you lose and some days you lose BIG!
My doctor told me in 2009 that I came closer to dying than any patient he had ever treated, and suggested it was time to retire. So, I took his advice and retired in December 2010. My wife and I bought a retirement home in the far, far south of Texas, just 2 miles north of the Rio Grande, and about 40 miles inland from the Gulf of Mexico. We found a great church where I can relax, although I do substitute for one of the adult Sunday School teachers on occasion. We love it here!
How about you? Doing okay?
