demon drop (ride at cedar point)


there are other ones. I always think about it. The names always bug me enough to where I dont really want anything to do with them.

 

Don't forget Nike shoes (Nike= Greek goddess of victory).

There are certain things I won't buy when going thru the store if it has a questionable name on the label.

 

Do you mean like Catsup? Or should they have called it dogsdown?

 

There's a lot of stuff I just look at and roll my eyes. But there is a brand name that really bugs me and I will not buy the product because of the name. That is Iam's dog food. "I Am" is God's reference to Himself and that is not something I am willing to have on a dog food in my house!

Paul Iams cannot help what name he was born with. To use the name he was born with is not using God's name wrongly.

 

On a youth group trip to a beach, some kinds bought Sex Wax. One chaperone thought they had been to a porn shop.

 

I have always wondered why they called it that.

Today there are special bolts called sex bolts. That has been the name for as long as I can remember.

 

I think our preoccupation with simple English words with no spiritual meaning, nor are they cuss words is ridiculous. It makes one no less spiritual for not buying certain products because of the name when in fact the product inside the packaging is a product you buy under a different name. Nor does it make one less spiritual for buying it.

 

Are you sure you maybe don't mean "Hex" bolts, another longtime name of a particular type of bolts. I use 'em but sometimes only after I have an exorcism with 'em, first. 'Cause I've been known on occasion to really "bless 'em out"! :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

As to names, I can attest to a similar name. A fairly close friend of mine 35 years ago in Bible College was Sam Iiams. Also the pastor at that time of a nearby Baptist church to the school, was named Immanuel Immanuel. No kidding, folks!
