    In the wilderness.

What happened to the children's clothes did they grow with the child?

De 29:5 And I have led you forty years in the wilderness: your clothes are not waxen old upon you, and thy shoe is not waxen old upon thy foot.

They took a lot of possessions with them that were given to them by the Egyptians. They probably plenty of material to make clothes, or perhaps nudity was the least of their concerns.

hand-me-downs would probably have worked for them most of the time. Anyway THE LORD would have provided for them somehow.

The Lord probably means that they never ran out of things they need, not necessarily just clothes.

No one really uses "waxen" anymore but the gist of the passage is that God did not cause their clothing to wear out while they were in the wilderness.

I wouldn't suggest that the clothing grew with the kids, but rather that it never wore out of stained badly during their time in the wilderness and was able to be passed down (as others have aptly pointed out) during their time of wandering.

This is why I don't like the King James Version, this verse is barely understandable due to language that none of us uses anymore. I mean, would you really have had the same questions if you had read:

"During the forty years that I led you through the desert, your clothes did not wear out, nor did the sandals on your feet."
