What are some of your favorite scriptures?

My Favorite is Joshua 3:5.

 

Mat.26:28 "For this is the blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins."

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." Ephesians 2:8-9...one of my greatest favorites. It says so much!!!

 

There are several scriptures that are very special to me, but one of the main ones is Ephesians 6: 10-18, Putting On The Whole Armour of God, because it reminds me how weak I am as an individual and I need to be dependent on the Lord for everything, because everything comes from HIM.

psalm 97, the first half. Its good to know who is on your side

His lightning lights up the world, the Earth sees and trembles, The mountains melt like wax before the LORD, before the LORD of all the Earth. The heavens declare his righteousness, and all people see his glory"

 

"And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good."

At some time in their life everyone needs to experience seeing and hearing a flock of ducks take flight from the face of the water. I think that might be just a glimpse of what it was like when the Lord called forth all the birds from the face of the waters!

What a glory that must have been. No wonder the angels shouted for joy!

I enjoy any passage where God comes down to earth and proclaims how awesome He is and how NOONE can mess with Him. Isaiah chapter 40 comes to mind, and the following chaters. The end of Job is also a good example.
