I was wondering who would be interested in telling what you are, a pastor, deacon or layperson in your church? Also where everyone is posting from church office, work or home?
Myself, I’m a deacon elected by the congregation each year and teach adult sunday school. I have been licensed by my church to preach the Word, but not ordained. The only schooling I’ve had is good bible teaching from our former pastor and a lot of bible study in my free time which isn’t much being I have a 16 year old, 12 year old and a 6 year old, the Lord blessed.
I’m posting from work where I run 2 warehouses for federal government, might explain why my post are brief uh. Hehe
Just thought it might be fun to see about the rest of you guys and girls since some of you are able to post your thesis when you post on subjects.

I am a youth teacher and I gave my first sermon on 12-19-01 and I feel God is calling me into the ministry. I post from my computer at work. I too work in a warehouse and my business is dependant on the weather. Needless to say, I am very slow since it is not very cold yet.

College prof counselor and state missions director for Wyoming. Licensed in 1968, ordained in 1973. Pastor for most of the time since. Older than dirt.

Office is spare bedroom in the dungeon (basement) of our house. Also have a real office for counseling at the wife's clinic, but the computer and modem are so s-l-o-w that I seldom post from it.

I am a deacon in my church, ordained in 1970. My church ordains for life, so you've got to die or really mess up to get out of the office. I also teach the adult (geriatric) Sunday School class. I am a retired dentist, so I post from home.

I'm just a humble church member, posting from home. Having gotten fed up with our church website always being down, I'm attempting to create one on my own. When I'm finished with it, I might offer it for y'all's opinions before I give the URL to the pastor. :D

I drove through PA back in 1989. What a beautiful state. I had never been back to that part of the country, so I always thought of factories and smoke stacks etc.
Boy, was I surprised. All those trees, and hills, and farms. You have a very beautiful state.

Boy, do you have that right!!! I didn't go to work today because my job involves non-stop talking and I have a sore throat. At least it waited until after Christmas.
I've been on this board for at least 3 hours today. I've got to get some other things done (well, it a minute).
Welcome. By the way, my church, which is the very best I have every been a memeber of has about 35 people, including all the precious kids. I went from a 8700 member church. I love my small church.
