What did the Christmas tree do to the protesters?

Maybe one or two of you who support the protesters can explain to me what the demonstrators had against the city Christmas tree? What is wrong with just having a PEACEFUL protest, and not allowing your group to act like animals and thugs?

PERSONALLY, I think protesters would be better received if they, first of all, didn't march down the street, BLOCKING traffic (maybe a permit to march on public streets would be useful, too)! Secondly, didn't turn what is supposed to be peaceful into something less than peaceful, by vandalizing public and private property! Third and most importantly, didn't shout their inflammatory, hateful chants! These protests are about as lawful and civilized as those living in America illegally think they are law abiding because they haven't broken any laws since crossing our borders to get here in the first place?

People have become anarchists, and then they wonder why the majority of Americans are just plain fed up!

How about it folks ...... can't you do it legally? Or does it always have to turn into an act of civil disobedience and in most cases, become destructive? The adage that "You Get More With Sugar Than You Do With Vinegar" still holds true! Does that hold true for you?

Probably a lot of Islamists and Nation of Islam amongst the demonstrators, or perhaps just gang members. The case is strange because the victim was a ward of the state all of his life but the city paid the family $5,000,000. Chicago is so corrupt and has been Democrat for so long, and one always wonders if the mob still runs Chicago?

Just something to tear up. BLM goons don't mind assaulting the innocent.

It's the crowd mentality thing. They get together in packs and they start acting like wild animals. They have no respect for property. It is shameful. There is just so much anger and violet in the world today. It is sad.

First of all ... I see you are new to the forum; so, in Jesus, I welcome you to the family.

Secondly, your depiction of the "lynch mob" mentality is 'spot on!' There is so much hate in the world today, that I am deeply concerned for the children being raised today. So much evil, hate and sin. I don't know if it is more than ever before, but having been on this planet for close to seven-decades now, I can honestly say, it seems worse than I can recall.

Thanks for sharing. Shalom!

Thank you for the warm welcome. I am glad that I found this wonderful forum. I, too, am concerned for the new generation and what life they may have. It seems every time you turn on the news it is filled in with evil and hatred. It saddens me greatly to see what this world is coming too.
