I would like to know what the general thought is on Peter Ruckman and his stand on the King James Bible. Is he a fanatic or is he just telling it like it is. Remember, this is a forum to post messages, not books [IMG] [IMG]

    Hey, brother Joe!!

This is Bryan. Peter Ruckman has been a blessing to me. He just be "telling it like it is". Ain't too many preachers now-a-days talking PLAIN. I think most of today's Christians go too much by their "feelings", like the world, and instead of listening to what a man has to SAY, and checking to see if it is in line with the Book, they immediately hear HOW he says what he says, and dismiss him as a heretic on the grounds of HOW something is said. Peter Ruckman, I believe, is the greatest Christian of our time, and also the greatest Bible teacher....only the judgment seat of Christ will tell the story of how much God has used Dr. Ruckman to bless His church. Too bad so many people dismiss him , and call him a heretic, just because their favorite "teacher" or "preacher" said so...just too bad.

Recently, there was a very long thread about Ruckman. I don't have anything new to add. Maybe you should revive that thread if you think you have some other insights.

People don't reject Ruckman because they don't know what he's saying. They reject him because many of his teachings range from heretical to down right weird. The hateful "way" he says what he says gives testimony to whose side he is really on.

    Well Bryan,
I thought I might find some other Bible Believers to invite to the AOL Group, but since there was already a discussion about Ruckman, I don't suppose there will be too many responses to this post. Oh well.

There are many Bible believers here.
...the Bible simply does not say "Thou shalt use the KJV for all other versions are of the Devil."

I believe the Bible but reject the nonsense that KJVO's spew.

I wonder why people think Dr. Ruckman has such "hate-filled" speech? Have you all never read things like Matthew 23, or John 8, or Jeremiah 23, etc.? Revelation 17? Jesus Christ told a bunch of religious Pharisees of His day:

"Ye are of your father the devil......He that is of God heareth God's words, ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God......Ye serpents, ye vipers....woe unto you scribes, Pharisees, hypocrites.....Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire.....Ye fools, and blind......woe, woe, woe..."

Was Jesus Christ "nice", and "sweet", and "kind" to RELIGIOUS HYPOCRITES that would say from the pulpit one thing.."We believe the Bible is the word of God, from cover to cover, including the maps...", but in the classroom say another.."Well, you know, we have no perfect Bible, our Old English translation is full of errors"?

I enjoy hearing and watching Dr. Ruckman. His drawings and insight on the Word of God has been a help to me. A great defender of God's Word.

Ruckman is a false teacher, an apostate, an adulterer, a liar, a sexual pervert, a racist, a bigot, and a heretic. He teaches that people are/were saved differently in different times (thus ignoring Rom.4). Those are just his good qualities:

Jesus also happened to be the Son of God, which gives him a little leeway in proclaiming absolute truth.

Peter Ruckman's stand on the KJV is neither realistic nor fundamental. I am amazed at his near cult-like power over some people. He is rude, arrogant and unloving. Many of his views I consider heretical. I read about the "fruit of the Spirit" in the KJV, and Peter Ruckman is not the first person that comes to mind. ;)

Hey, Preach. You know what's really ironic about the whole Ruckman thing? He's willing to admit that the KJV1611 does not accurately reflect the extant manuscripts.

Granted, he irrationally and heretically claims they correct the manuscripts, but at least he is honest enough to admit that inconsistencies exist and sees the need to come up with some sort of explanation (even though it is ridiculous).

Perhaps some BB KJVOs could take a lesson. Sorry, but "In my heart, I believe the KJBible is The Bible" just doesn't cut it.

Maybe I'll find out who he is?... No I think I'll just stick with Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John to mention a few!... Peter Ruckman?... That's funny my Bible say King James Version... Does yours say the Peter Ruckman edition? I'm KJV for a reason and the reason is not Ruckman!... Brother Glen

Thanks for posting that link, Preach The Word. I find this quote very interesting:

"I tell ‘nigger jokes’ while teaching, I use expressions that would shock the refined sensibilities of the Apostate Fundamentalists who make a living off a Book they don’t believe, and I cover too much material at one time for the average student to grasp"

So, as a teacher, he is admittedly a bigot and uses excessive offensive comments. He also admittedly covers too much material for students. These are not qualities of a GOOD teacher, these are qualities of a POOR teacher. Yet he also says "I am a much better teacher than a preacher." So, if he is a POOR teacher, and yet he is a better teacher than a preacher, then as preacher he must *really* be bad. [IMG]

Note for pro-Ruckies: those are his words, not mine! [IMG]

    Newman,

Yep, Jesus did call a bunch of people a lot of names, Even used a racial slur towards a woman once by calling her a "dog."

    #1 - Ruckman ain't Jesus.

#2 - I can't find the scripture that tells me it's okay to treat my neighbor as a lower life form, or sub-standard; can you provide them, please?

#3 - I had a chance to review Ruckman's book "The Mark of the Beast," and found several errors with it. Would you be willing to honestly review those errors, or would you prefer not to even consider them?

I didn't really know squat about Ruckman until he became prominent in the thread that was brought up; then I reviewed the book, and that taught me that Ruckman's style (screaming and derogatory) isn't the problem. His problem is that he doesn't even follow his own rules.
