I was boiling some eggs and they all sank to the bottom except one. Any ideas?

Don't fresh eggs sink and old eggs float??

Or is it the other way around?

It means the egg has less density than the water in which it is placed.

Well, y'know...if you drop an egg in boiling water, its reflexes are so good that it pops right out. But if you sit it in room temperature water, and sloooowly turn it up, then....

....oh wait, never mind, that's a frog.

Maybe you were using frog eggs?

Did you know, if you let the pan dry out of water the egg will pop all over the kitchen and then it no longer matters if it floated or NOT?

Yes, I did know that. I had to throw the pan away because I couldn't get some of the shells off of the bottom!

I'm sure glad I'm not the one who had to clean that microwave after they nuked eggs!
