What does it meand that God is the "Same, yesterday, today and tomorrow?"

If God is truly the same and unchanging, what does that mean to you? In what areas of His awesome Grace and power are things the same yesterday, today and forevermore? Just how is God still the same, and what does that mean to you as a Child of God; the church as the body of Christ; and His "Kingdom on Earth as it is in heaven!"

It means exactly what it says. Similar to Malachi 3:6 "For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed."

The writer has just spoken of the perfect atonement for the Covenant people.

The writer spoke of His eternal unchangeable priesthood. .

The writer has also spoken of our entrance into the Kingdom that is eternal.

The writer warns of the full final judgment to come.

This is what has been discussed in the epistle. Some try and pull this verse out of the book and try to suggest that God must now do special signs and wonders now as when the church was in its foundational time.
This is error and the methodology of the false teacher.

We can live and pray and serve knowing that God will not change and is working all things for good for the sheep.

It means that God the Son is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

God is Perfect. Any change would either have to be for the better, indicating God was not Perfect prior to the change, and as Perfection is one of the immutable attributes of God, prior to the change He was not God, or if he changed for the worse, then He would no longer be God as one of the immutable attributes of God is his Perfection.

Ergo, God never changes. Remember the old adage, "You can't improve perfection."

God's love does not change His mercy and grace never changed and never will. He will continue to be all powerful and all knowing.

It means exactly what it says!

Apparently a great many Baptist churches and Baptists believe that God changes with the time so the Church itself must change with the time, that is bring the world into the Church!

I'm not sure about that.

Believing that God changes His interactions with man, is not at all the same as believing that God changes.

A few ways come to mind. He used to walk with Adam in the cool of the day, came to meet with Abraham, etc. I know of no modern instances of that. Joseph Smith has claimed it, though, as well as a lot of Charismatic nut jobs

He used to require animal sacrifices in a tent, then temple, erected to exact specs. Not so now.

According to most Baptists, He used to pour out gifts of the Holy Spirit (such as tongues and healing), which He no longer does.


So......did God change, or did He simply change how He interacts with men?

Does yesterday, mean yesterday, or eons past?

That word is used three times in the word.

Is it a post resurrection statement?

Could the exact same thing have been said concerning Jesus Anointed, let's say On the morrow following the Sabbath following the Passover on which Jesus Anointed died, relative as to how used in the other two passages?
