Then what is used for the undies that you have to wear to enter the temple?saturneptune said:See how nice it would be in the winter to be a member of the Latter Day Saints. Then you could use the Book of Mormon for an overcoat.
Pages from the Pearl of Great Price. If you want to get fancy, you could glue on some of the feathers from angel Marconi's wings.Palatka51 said:Then what is used for the undies that you have to wear to enter the temple?![]()

Here's my theory: We've finally exhausted all the Cal/Arm debates (for now, anyway) we're tired of politics, the weather is turning dreary and we've realized the need for more lighthearted conversation. Or is it that we're getting older and too tired to fight?
I'm thinking about starting a new thread entitled "Let's Fight!" but I can't decide if it needs to go in the fellowship forum or the debate forum.abcgrad94 said:The past few weeks as I've read the bb, it seems like we've quit arguing and now we're spending more time laughing and acting like (GASP!) friends! I say this with tongue in cheek of course. It's just nice to see such calm, tame discussion here lately. Now that I've gotten that off my chest, we can pull out the rollin' pins and fryin' pans and commence to thumping each other again.
It's already going on in the calvinism free will thread. This thread was started too soon :tear:SBCPreacher said:I'm thinking about starting a new thread entitled "Let's Fight!" but I can't decide if it needs to go in the fellowship forum or the debate forum.
Any suggestions?
Well.... Let's fight about something else!webdog said:It's already going on in the calvinism free will thread. This thread was started too soon :tear:
BaptistBeliever said:Nobody on this thread has addressed the original question. Aren't both Calvinism and free will supported by the Bible? I believe they both are and it's a waste of precious time to argue about them. Only God understands His motivations and plans. Many here think that that's not the case. They're wrong.

What did Jesus wear? Oh, wait...He wore sandals. Never mind.SBCPreacher said:OK. Let's fight about this: Is it Biblical for preachers to wear slip-on shoes or must they weare lace-up shoes?

Obviously, Preachers must preach bare-foot... AND I HAVE SCRIPTURE TO BACK IT UP!!!
When God was calling Moses to speak for him, he said
And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest [is] holy ground.
(Exodus 3:5)
Then again Stephen (one of the first deacons) confirmed that moses was barefooted... (and we all know if anyone should know, a deacon should):
Then said the Lord to him, Put off thy shoes from thy feet: for the place where thou standest is holy ground.
(Acts 7:33)
Then let's not forget what Paul said...
And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
(Romans 10:15)
Now, how would people know if preacher's feet were beautiful unless they preached bare-footed?
Point proven!:wavey:
