I have a rich text format for a word document

Lately - only on one document - it basically goes blank - takes a couple of moments - if not more
before it comes back. And it happens several times

What in carnation is going on???

Just guessing here. I'd suspect that something in the formatting is causing Word confusion and it is thinking/rearranging things. You might try saving it as a different format then open it and resave it as the original format. You might loose some formatting though.

Hey Salty, I'm kind of shooting in the dark here, but maybe uninstall Word and then reinstall it, if you are still having this problem? Hopefully this helps, you know cyber security is more of my specialty rather than hardware. :Biggrin

Wordpad, included in every version of Windows, can open rich-text documents.

As Shoostie said, try to open it with Wordpad and save it back as either rich text or plain text. I wouldn't reinstall Word for just one document.
