What is effective for answered prayer?

As Christians we know that we need our prayers to be answered, which we make to the Lord, whether with diligence, or whether without diligence. And in God is a mind that can never change, who from the beginning has purposed whatever Has pleased Him for all of history, (not as though he elected some to be saved and some to be damned), neither in Him is there any hint of sin. How therefore can we pray, that our prayers may receive an answer, in the time closest to that for which we hope? What does it say in the scriptures concerning this?

I am not sure that I even know how best to give you an answer.
But here is part of what is on my mind on answered prayer.
1 John 5:14-15, ". . . if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him."
It is a sure thing God is going to answer according to His will. Regarding personal sin, we can always ask for God's promised cleansing, 1 John 5:9. Which we cannot do ourselves. Otherwise we already have God's complete unremovable forgivness, Hebrews 10:17.
Brother, like I said, I am not sure that I even know how best to give you an answer.

James chapters 4 and 5 speak much on prayer:
4:1 ¶ From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?
2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.
Check your Methods of get what you need. Are you praying at all?
3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.
Check your Motives for praying. Is your request a Want or a Need?
4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
5 Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy?
Check your Relationship with God. Are you seeking the Lord and His glory above other need/wants?
6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
Check your Attitude. Is it Humble or Arrogant?
7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Check your Will. Are you accepting of God's answer or rebelliously wanting you way?
8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
Check your Walk. Are you as close to God as you one were, Have you backslid?
9 Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.
10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
Claim His Promises. Are you trusting the Lord to answer when and as He sees fit?

5:12 ¶ But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation.
13 Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.
14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
Check your Focus. Are you praying more for yourself or others? Are you praying for the Lord to be glorified?
Effectual: Is your request clear? The more specific a prayer, the clearer the answer.
Fervent: Does your request really matter to you?
The Greek word translated "effectual fervant" is enegeo Answered prayer often takes effort on our part.
Righteous: How is your heart? The Purpose of Prayer is not so much getting God to agree with you and Him answering your request as you think He should. It is more allowing the Lord to get your Heart, Soul, Mind, Spirit, and Physical Body in agreement with His will for your life and letting Him glorify Jesus in and through you.

I prayerful hope this was helpful! Now I know what I'll be preaching Sunday, prayers answered!
