What is prophetic targeting!?

I think this is once again a great new idea of some christians. I tried to look it up on the net but couldn't find much. I think it has to do with territorial revival and involves stuff like prayer walks. You walk around praying in a city and then you expect God to start a revival in a city. Is this biblical? Did Paul do prayer walks and pray for territorial revival?
I am really pretty fed up with this whole revival talk. I hear so many christians talk about this huuuuge revival which is supposed to come up but somehow it doesn't. I ask myself are they not living in a dream world?
Many of them come up with prophecies which they say are from God, but the strange thing is that these prophecies are almost always positive. They are always about huge revivals and stuff and the people like to hear this. I wonder if this is really from God.

Not usually needed with rifles or shotguns, but in bowhunting you need to forecast the speed of the buck running abeam to you and aim a few feet ahead, depending on that speed and the distance.

But a serious answer though... No, optimism is not prophecy. We seem to approach evangelizing the world like a coach giving a big pep talk to make the team believe it will win.

There is an equation in America with true spiritual revival and evangelistic meetings. The true revivals of history were not planned, they just happened.

For example, the great Welsh revivals. The preacher mounted the pulpit, but could not preach. He went silent with tears running down his cheeks. Soon, members in the congregation broke out in song. Eventually, congregants started to confess sin publicly, and there was great rejoicing as they all worshipped God. This spread like wildfire throughout Wales. Neither preaching nor prayer played a prominent role at the outbreak of this spiritual renewal. Truly it would appear the Hoy Spirit was in complete control of God's people.

Cheers,

During the spring of 1904 a young Welshman named Evan Roberts was repeatedly awakened at 1:00 a.m. He met with God until 5:00 a.m. The Welsh revival followed. Churches were packed for prayer meetings.
What if Evan hadn't prayed when God woke him up to meet with Him?

I am a strong proponent of Prayer...

And, I do not belielve that Revival 'spontaneously combusts'...

I believe that, while looking back it may appear as if it were completely spontaneous,...

In the preceeding days someone had to be doing some serious 2 Chronicles 7:14

Im thinking about how Jesus said to pray in your closets and dont be as the hypocrites standing on the street corners praying so everyone can see you.

I'll bet God can hear their prayers if they pray at home or in church just as well... and I think the thing you described is just theatrics.

But if God wants a revival why doesn't he simply do it? I don't understand this. I get the impression that in order to get a revival the christians first of all have to make themselves feel totally miserable by fasting and crawling around on the floor until their knees bleed...
Does God want us to feel miserable?

I have a question.
Is stuff like "prayer walks" where you walk around in a city and claim the city and do symbolic stuff like Ana Mendez does, biblical? This stuff seems a bit funky to me. Did Paul walk around in a city and do symbolic stuff and claim a city?
Sometimes I really wonder where is all this new stuff coming from? Do christians simply invent it in order to be able to write a book about it? Where does all this extra knowledge come from? It's the same with exorcists like Bob Larson. They write books about stuff which only they know and this means they're also the experts on this area because nobody else knows what they claim to know. I wonder where all this extra knowledge comes from..
