I would like to get some feed back from everyone on this. First of all I just took a look in the Womens Forum for a comparison and found there were seven ongoing discussions. The reason I did this is because in the men's private forum you can almost hear a pin drop.

I couldn't check the Womans Private Forum... Because Men are not allowed... I read the sign... Ladies Only... I don't qualify.

So what is the problem?... We men asked for a Private Forum and then suddenly lost our voice?... Why is it that the Womens forum is buzzing and ours seems to be buzzed out?

Maybe the problem is we have no problems? ... Will you all buy that? Maybe the problem is that we men need a little prodding from a female source or we are to [IMG]
embarressed to share our problems with other men.

Maybe its the dreaded male ego or macho or whatever you want to call it but why have we all clamed up? In case all you men didn't know... "There is a Private Mens Forum"... Just for us men!... Okay I'm guilty and will be the first to say so but I do post every now and then.

How about you Men coming up with some topics... If you can't think of any I'm sure your female other half if you have one or any female source will give you one. I know my wife is never short on words and will constantly give me her opinion.

So what's is going to be Men... We fought to get this forum and if it is not used what will happen to it?... That being said all you men hot foot it down to the Mens Forum and tell us whats on your mind. Bare your soul... Sorry no ladies allowed... Only Men Talk!... Brother Glen [IMG]

Brother Glen, I think the problem can be seen in the following, a typical conversation between two men:

    First: Hey, wot's up?

Second: Not much. Hows about you?

First: Not much either, So, Wot cha doin?

    Second: Nothing. And you?

First: About the same. So, are you watching the ball game?

    Second: Yea. And you?

    First: I think so.

    Second: See you later

First: Ya..glad we had this talk...See ya

    Cheers,

    Jim

I didn't say that... You ladies are putting words in my mouth  ... How would you help us with the forum or is there no help as we are Men?... I visted your forum to see if what my wife Charlotte said was true and noticed seven active discussions to our one. She said Women like to talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, and Men like to talk!

There seems to be no shortage of talk in the Calvinist/Arminian Forum... Hey wait a minute maybe that is the problem Men don't want to talk Men want to argue... Maybe that is what drives us and gets the blood pumping a good arguement?... Don't Women argue?... I told you to go this way you bonehead, can't you follow directions? ... Brother Glen

So Helen you are the scientist tell us what is the problem from a scientific point of view. Charlotte says Mens brains are compartmentalized and Womens brains just flows along?... Is this true?... What does she mean I'm not a Woman?... Right brain, left brain... What is going on here?... Brother Glen

Is this a serious question? Women naturally "gab" with one another. Men don't. We are generally superficial with one another, except for in very close friendships. Women. They're different. God made them that way. There's nothing wrong with them, nothing wrong with us, we're just different!

Rev G. Why are we not lost for words in other forum or are we not expressing our views but borrowing our ideas and doctrines from other men?
We are not expressing our views and beliefs but beg, borrow and steal from others. That is the way I see the Calvin/Arminian Forum and many forums that the men answer on. Do we choose our belief to fit our doctrine or our doctrine to fit our belief?

You will get no argument from me Women are different from Men? We can bare our souls hiding behind the various doctrines but when in private with other men we clam up... Why? Are we so insensitive to our brother and what are we afraid of... that baring our private souls we become less men? I don't know that is why I am asking and I hope to come to some kind of answer but maybe there isn't one?... Maybe Men are just Men no matter what nationality, culture, or religion they come from?... You know something I have noticed, Glen? When we are leaving church, or any gathering, the women usually have to wait for the men to stop talking!

But I think there is one thing that may be important here. Women TEND (yes, Joshua, I know there are exceptions) to concentrate on relationships and men on things and goals. This is one reason we all need each other, but this is also the reason that women talking together talk about such different things than men, when they are together. From what I can see, when men talk, they talk with a goal in mind. Women tend to talk to express emotions and work things out verbally.

    ---------

OK, it's half an hour or so later than when I started this. And I have a MOST excellent example for you. Barry just called from Australia and a whole lot of our friends are at the house helping him get moved today, and so the phone was passed around and I got to say hi to everyone. The first one was Denny -- a super guy married to a wonderful friend of mine. "How ARE you, Denny?" I asked. And his response was, "We're doing pretty well. Have one load over there so far and working on another." Later I asked his wife, June, "How are you?" and she answered "Fine! I'm really doing well. Just brought the men over some lunch to keep up their energy!"

See the difference? June knew I was interested in her personally and Denny was focused on the job! Once I learned the job was going well, what more was there to say? But with June, I could have continued by asking about other things in her life and the conversation was open to that.

    And THAT'S the difference!

    :D :D :D

Now, don't even start on me. I want to go to the men's forum. I have volunteered to add life to that forum.

    BUT NO!!!!!!!!!!

The freaking men won't have it. Go figure that one out.

I also volunteered to help in the pastor's forum, but same there. WHAT IS UP WITH THAT!!

By the way. Why do we have a ladies forum and a private ladies, and not have the same for the men?
