I run a blog exposing the Shepherd's Chapel cult - my attention lately has turned to refuting the Gospel in the Stars advocates. They insist that the Hebrew word "Mazzaroth" proves their premise. What is the true meaning of this word found in Job?
I got this response from Lew White at the Torah Institute...

My translation (BYNV) corrects many of the Medieval errors not known to the KJV translators.
“JOB” or Ayub has several translational errors because 400+ years ago all they understood was Babel’s zodiac, arrogant pagan nonsense Yahuah despises.
You can put these new understandings into the reading of the text, and sense the healing of the message:
AISH - is not Arcturus, the Bear, but a Hebrew word meaning “fire”, and refers to all light seen in the skies. It simply means “starlight.”
KESIL – a Hebrew world used in the book of Ayub, meaning “folly.” It is an abstraction for “infinity.”
KIMAH – Hebrew for “cluster.” This is best translated “galaxies.” Galaxies weren’t discovered until the 1920’s, but Yahuah knew they were there, and described them through Ayub.
MAZZAROTH – all of the “host of heaven”, including anything giving light; sun, moon, stars, nebulae, galaxies, quasars, etc. I like his interpretation but I'm just wondering if it shows his bias against the GOS advocates which go fruity over the translators interpretation in Job regarding the Zodiac terms.
