I see Crabby is posting cut and paste lies again. Let's take a look:
Republicans believe the NRA should decide the nation’s gun laws
WRONG! Right off the bat you get it wrong. The constitution of the United States has ALREADY decided the nation's gun laws. The 2nd amendment has been the law of the land for 227 years. Get over it!
but don’t believe a woman should decide her own health care.
Wrong again! (You are just full of misinformation, aren't you!) Every woman has the right to make her own health care decisions (well, except under Obamacare where she can't keep her old health plan and can't keep her old doctor - the Democrats denied her that right). However, if she demands I "stay out of her bedroom" I agree, so don't expect me to pay for what goes on in the bedroom and the consequences of her decisions.
Republicans believe big business should be able to do whatever they want for profit
Wrong again! Wow! 0 for 3. The most effective laws limiting big business, and laws and court opinions upholding the right and ability of citizens to seek redress of grievance against those corporations has been attacked by the Democrats (IE: Citizens United).
but don’t believe people should marry whomever they want for love.
Wrong again. You can love anyone you please. You can marry anyone you please. Government has no business being in the marriage business. Marriage is a private agreement between two parties, often including their families and the religious practitioner of their choice. And so it was for thousands of years until the Democrats decided to get into the marriage approval business. (The first marriage licenses were issued in this country to prevent African-Americans from marrying Caucasians. Then, when the railroads imported 100s of 1000s of Chinese laborers to build the rail lines, the next marriage license laws were to prevent whites and Chinese from marrying. Marriage license laws are racist and Democrat!)
Republicans believe the scientifically proven theory of global warming is a hoax
Wrong yet again! Warming is real. Ocean temperatures have been on a steady rise since before 1900. The difference is that we are not stupid enough to fall for Algores "carbon exchanges" or Cap and Trades taxes. You can tax the entire world into poverty and it will still continue to get warmer, and there is absolutely NOTHING we can do about it except wait. Sometime around 2070 the natural cycle will begin to reverse itself and the Earth will experience a cooling period.
but believe in an unproven religious belief of creationism.
No, they believe that God created all that exists. But God does not tell us how or when that was done.
Republicans believe the wealthy and big business should receive tax breaks and subsidies
No, no, Crabby. That was Obama. He not only gave tax breaks to General Motors, he gave them billions in money stolen from our pockets. And it hasn't stopped. When the politicians in Washington finally got around to actually reading the so-called Affordable Care Act they found not one but two provisions to provide preemptive bailouts to insurance companies, those same insurance companies who have received a windfall of profits from ACA. (Which is understandable in that insurance companies are the biggest campaign contributors to Democrats. Yep. The DNC: A wholly owned subsidiary of big business.)
but don’t believe the average American should have affordable health care.
"Average Americans" already had affordable health care. It was a few who were financially disadvantaged who could not afford heath care but they could still, by law, go to any emergency room or urgent care facility and receive treatment regardless of ability to pay. Now that same "Average American" can no longer afford his/her health care if not provided by his/her employer.
When I retired we continued my wife's coverage out of our own pocket (she is quite a bit younger than I am). To continue her coverage in California it cost me $407 per month. Not good, but not a deal breaker either.
When we moved to Texas the same policy with the same company went up to $705 per month. Getting worse, but gotta have it. Bite the bullet and write the check.
When Obamacare kicked in (January 2014) the policy went up to $1009 per month, but was cancelled the following month because it did not offer contraception, pre and post natal care, and birth coverage. Uh, Mr. Obama! Over here! Over here! My wife is in her 60s. She went through menopause a couple decades ago. Why, exactly, did you cancel her insurance policy because it did not cover what she did not need? Trust me! She's NOT going to be getting pregnant anytime soon unless we change our names to Abraham and Sarah!
Republicans believe corporations have more rights than people.
Wrong again. The Law (not Republicans, the LAW) provides that corporations be considered a fictitious person (the world "corpus" means "body") so that in the event a corporation harms you, you can sue the corporation for redress of grievance. If the corporation were not considered a fictitious person you would have to identify the individual responsible for your harm and collect from him or her. And that amount would be limited to the personal assets of the individual. But by treating a corporation as a fictitious person you can attach all of the assets of that corporation.
Republicans believe people have the right to discriminate because of religious freedom.
Once again, you have it just backward. Religious freedom, and especially the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (you remember, the one Bill Clinton signed into law) prevents a person from being discriminated against on the basis of their religion. A Roman Catholic cannot be forced to open an abortion mill, even though they operate a charity hospital. The Democrats say "Stay out of a woman's reproductive rights . . Well, except to pay for them."
Sorry, but does the phrase "No taxation without representation" mean anything to you? If I pay for it, I have a say in it. No say = no pay!
Republicans believe in shooting first and asking questions later.
No, again, that is Obama. 2,400 people killed in Obama's drone attacks. A half dozen of them US citizens.
Republicans believe in saying no to anything a Democrat proposes even if it’s good for the country.
Unfortunately the Democrats only want what is good for the Democrats. They couldn't care less about the good of the country. Poor people have been voting for Democrats for over 100 years, and they are still poor. What does that tell you?
Republicans believe in suing the president rather than working with him.
It is Obama who will negotiate with terrorists but refuses to sit down and negotiate with congress. And he deserves to be sued for violating the constitution and oath he took. The Supreme Court has ruled 13 times that Obama exceeded his constitutional authority.
Republicans believe they should be able to carry weapons everywhere they go to prove their manhood.
Wrong again. All law abiding citizens have the right, under the 2nd amendment, to carry firearms for protection of self, their loved ones, and their country and liberty. It has nothing to do with "manhood." And why are you so interested in another man's "manhood?" Is there something you aren't telling us?
Republicans believe we should spend as much money as possible for the military rather than spending money for helping the less fortunate.
Wrong again. Having a strong national defense is necessary due to the fact we live in a very dangerous world. And that strong national defense maintains our liberty and the ability of every single person in this country to prosper if they are willing to work hard to do so.
Republicans believe millions of illegal aliens should be deported (at what cost?) rather than trying to find a way to incorporate them into society (at a much lower cost).
Yes, millions should be deported. Those who have a record of committing vicious crimes against innocent people need to be sent packing. And those who came here to find work, and work hard, and pay their taxes, and are an asset to our country should be given a path to permanent residency.
Republicans believe wealthy people work harder than non-wealthy people.
Depends on what you mean by "word harder." Manual labor? Probably not. Working long hours to make a business successful so you can pay your employees a livable wage? Probably.
I know a billionaire. He owns several companies that employ over 15,000 people with an average annual income of over $65,000. The guy works 12-14 hours per day, 7 days per week, to keep those companies running smoothly and keep his 15,000 employees secure in their jobs and future.
Any welfare recipients doing that?
