What's a quid pro quo ?

The Latin phrase "quid pro quo" means "something exchanged for something." If I offer you my car inexchange for your truck, I'm offering you a quid pro quo with my car.

quid = "something, anything

pro = "for, on behalf of"

quo = "by which means" (one of some 24 meanings in English)

Dems are accusing Trump of a quid pro quo of threatening to withhold military supplies to the Ukraine unless they investigated Biden & Biden's son in shady financial deals with a Ukrainian firm. Nothing illegal or unusual if he did.

During WW2, FDR threatened to withhold destroyers designed for anti-submarine warfare from the British unless Churchill & Co. agreed to an Allied landing in France in 1944. Nothing illegal there, either! There was much more at stake then than spreading a little doo-doo on a political opponent !

PEOPLE, LEMME TELLYA A FACT ! !

The Demorats have spent OVER $40 MILLION of OUR tax $$s trying to smear or get ridda Trump ! That's enough to house 1000 involuntarily homeless military vets for 4 years ! That intel can be verified by many sources !

While I still have some respect for some individuals within the party, I've lost all respect for its leadership and its policies. YOU may vote for those clowns if you wish, but not this ole boy ! While Trump has many faults, he's still far-better than anyone in the field of Dem POTUS candidates at this time !

The timing of the impeachment will be just-right to blow up in their faces not long before the 2020 election, as the Senate won't find Trump guilty; the vote won't even be close, as more than one Dem senator won't want the consequences from a 'guilty' vote. I hope the result of that blow-up will cause the voters to get ridda many of the mutton-heads in the House !

Well, I think their mantra is off the quid pro quo thing and now they're onto "bribery" after they ran through a few focus groups. This geek think it's too Latin for the American public to understand:

Intelligence Democrat: Stop using 'quid pro quo' to describe Trump allegations

now if you want a quid pro quo example, imagine a VP son as a member of a foreign company located in a corrupt foreign country. A prosecutor over there wants to investigate that company but then the VP says fire the prosecutor or no more aid. And you have six hours to do so. There, a real quid pro quo but it seems like Democrats in this country think all you have to do is to run for office, then the country can't investigate the son. Oh, and congrats on the new grandchild, Biden.
