Does anybody know where I can purchase Bibles in quantity at a decent price?
Also, can you recommend some decent chick tracts.

Timothy, thank you! [IMG] That's almost half of the lowest price I'd found so far.
Ok, my memory's bad, I already forgot who asked what version by the time I typed this, lol!
    English KJV's, a few Spanish RV's.

    Tyndale;

KJV is not copyrighted, as are NIV.

You have to pay for the copyright.

This is why Gideons only pass out KJV. It is cheaper.

The KJV was copyrighted in England and could not be legally copied in America until after the Revolution. It remains under copyright in the United Kingdom and lands under UK's control. Additionally, in the U.S. now the KJV is available for copy because it is in the Public Domain, which means any copyright before 1922 is no longer valid. The American Standard Bible (1901) is also available in the Public Domain [not to be confused with the NewAmerican Standard Bible (1960,1962,1963,1968,1971,1972,1973,1975,1977,1995).

International Bible Society has NIVs cheaper than what you can buy KJVs. Rarely anymore do I see KJVs cheaper than other translations.

As for good Chick tracts, I know of none. American Tract Society and Good News Publishers have the best tracts.

    A place called:
    Scripture truth Book Co.
    P.O. Box 339
    Fincastle, VA 24090

    540-992-1273
    www.scripturetruth.com

They have all kinds of bibles and other materials most at about 60 to 75% off. Example: kjv award bibles at 36 at $127.50.

Thanks Mr. Curtis. The tracts were actually for someone else who needed them, I don't know that much about them. I've seen a few, some I liked, some I thought were a little off, but our church started using them recently so I should probably take a closer look.

Yes, by the same token, don't let my opinion make the decision for you, either. There may be good reasons not to like, or pass out tracts by certain companies. Best to scrutinize them yourself.
