GO HERE TO TAKE THE TEST

So you really think you're a 'centrist'? You think others are 'right' or 'left' of you? Do you really know where you are on the political compass....... or do you accept the bullying of others who disagree with you to tell you where you are? You may be surprised! I was!
(I'll 'confess' later....... I promise.)

Just click on the link 'Test' in the left side collumn after reading the infor.

I was 0.75 to the left and 2 down.

I really thought I was more conservative than that.... The questions were a bit 'different'..... I hadn't expected 'morality issues' as much as there was but was surprised my strong fundamental answers didn't skew the test into an extreme right position..... which was more my expectation.

4th square over and 2 down in the bottom left square.

I guess I am still a democratic socialist

I didn't understand a lot of the economic questions, and other questions I didn't necessarily agree or disagree with. Also, some of the questions were too broad, imo.

So with all that in mind, I scored 1.88 to the left and 1.90 down. It's not that far from the center where all the squares meet.

I know on some I scored a more liberal answer and on others (like the moral ones), I was pretty far right. So it kind of puts me near the center of it all.

The test is not scientific and more likely some personal agenda.

What race? They taking about the race as in ethnicity or race as in political race?

Our race has many superior qualities, compared with other races.

What does "support" mean? We have a right to disagree, protest even burn the flag and still be in "support" of the country.

I'd always support my country, whether it was right or wrong.

I guess I flunked since I don't understand the questions...

It depends on what group of people I am with. Where I worked I was considered left of center. Where my wife worked I was considered right of center. On this board I seem to be considered left of center. I see myself as pretty much in the middle depending on the issue.

Test results were:

Economic left/right -3.75
Social libertarian/Authoritarian -2.26

At different points in my life the results would have been different. Now I see some of the mistakes of my youth.

For some reason I'm unable to locate where this test is. I took one other political spectrum test, & it had me ranked as a conservative, but close to being a libertarian.

In all honesty, I have to doubt how accurate some of those tests are.

I'll let you decide

* I am opposed to increasing taxes (like the Libertarians)
* I believe that welfare should be limited to those who really need it, not to those who are lazy (like the Libertarians)
* I believe that the federal income tax should be done away with (like the Libertarians)

Here's where I differ:

* I oppose legalizing drugs & prostitution
* Military service shouldn't be required, unless were at war
* I believe that federal income tax should be replaced with a tax that taxes people according to their spending habits & not how much they make.
* Marriage by law would be defined as being between a man & a woman
* Abortion should be illegal (classified as 1st degree murder)

I view Libertarians as almost anarchists. While I agree with protecting rights of people, they take it too far.

This bulletted item is not a libertarian stance. We are very against forced military service. And if we'd be more careful about war, we wouldn't ever need to draft people.

Didn't we take this test last year about this time?

Surely we're not running that low on subjects wherein we can PROVE (Proof texts and all.) that our position(s) are the ONLY ones that can possibly be CORRECT  while at the same time PROVING (Proof texts and all.) that everyone elses position(s) are WRONG and even SATANIC!! :tonofbricks:

I decided not to be so picky about the wording and take the test.

Your political compass
Economic Left/Right: -3.38
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -0.67

I think we should debate these questions to see how we really stand on some of these issues. I will be a poll for each question when I get sometime so we can see why we voted the way we voted.
