Some (although I disagree) take Matthew 24:4, 1 Timothy 4:1, 1 Peter 2:1, and Hebrews 6:1-8 as proof that the saved can become “unsaved,” if that’s what you mean.

The following are a few examples of how we can commence a walk of faith (and thus be initially saved) and yet fall away:
Matthew 13:20-23 (KJV): 20 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; 21 Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended. 22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful. 23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
Matthew 24:11-13 (KJV): 11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. 12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. 13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

The Bible specifically speaks of those who "Stand only by their faith" being told to "Fear - for if He did not spare them neither will He spare you" Romans 11.

And in Gal 5:4 "YOU have been severed from Christ, you have fallen from Grace"

Your argument that we can ignore this text because Paul did not give a name in each of these cases is circular reasoning to avoid the text.

As we see in the command of Matt 22 to "Love your neighbor" no "specific name" is given.

And if the Romans 11 or Gal 5 text had said "just Sally Smith is fallen" then the argument "this only applies to Sally Smith" would abound.

Better to simply accept the text rather than try to find a way around it.

NEITHER passage that you cited supports your case, actually, they both support mine!

paul was telling gentiles that its just due to his good pleasure and will that they were saved by Jewish messiah, and also that those who try to live for God by /on the basis of keeping the OT Law were falling from grace, as becoming part of the Judaizers!
