Which 4 teams do you think will make the college football playoffs?

Which 4 teams do you think will make the college football playoffs? If you wish state your top 2 and your national champion.

 

This poll was posted before Notre Dame lost to Stanford last night, so that's why it is included. If we could edit polls after posting, ND would be replaced by TCU.The poll is just for this week, also, before the conference championship games on Saturday. Prognosticating won't be very hard after those.

 

The only one we have in common is Clemson. So obviously you think Auburn will beat Georgia a 2nd time, as Oklahoma will TCU, and Ohio St. will beat Wisconsin. I know Wisconsin's trouble in winning over OSU in that CG, but OSU has shown vulnerability and inconsistency this year, and they 'played their hearts out' against "TTUN," always their chief rival. UW didn't have such a difficult game. I think it's set up for UW to beat OSU for the conference. And OSU may not get in even if they win it. In playing a team a second time, especially after beating them decisively the first time, the previous loser has an advantage, not only in payback motivation, but in what the coaches learned from the previous defeat. The team that won the first meeting tends to think they already know the keys to victory and thus play the same way. If it works out that way, then that is Wisconsin (13-0), Georgia (12-1), and TCU (12-1). And Alabama (11-1) would get in over Ohio St. (11-2 at best) and any other 2-loss team. So It's quite possible the Big Ten will be without a playoff team, unless it's another 59-0 sort of OSU win the CG.

Auburn or Georgia
Clemson or Miami
Wisconsin if they beat OSU
Oklahoma if they beat TCU
but...
If OSU or TCU win, one of them--probably TCU-- will be left out and Alabama will go.
There could be a big tossup if the SEC and ACC have narrow losers, who would be 2-loss teams along with Ohio St. But since Alabama has a clear advantage over any other non-conference champ, the SEC and ACC losers would probably get the shaft, and it may come down to Big 12 champ TCU or Big Ten champ OSU-- meaning the big, more tradition-rich OSU would go, no matter which was more impressive in its CG.
The Pac10 will not be represented.

 

Okay, it's Clemson, Oklahoma, Georgia, and either Alabama or Ohio State.

Which do you put more 'weight' into in the decision? A better overall record (Alabama), or a conference championship (Ohio State)? How much do the personal preferences or biases of the committee members enter into it? How much does getting blown out by a noncontender (Iowa 55, Ohio State 24) a negative mark? Might payoffs even be involved?-- the difference in getting into the playoff as opposed to 'just a bowl game' is in the million$.

My own bias (I suppose that's what it is) is for Alabama. But this is largely because last year Ohio State did )not play for its conference championship and still got in over the champion (Penn St.) by which it had been defeated. How do they argue they, the non-champ last year should go, but the opposite this year, that they should go because they are the champ. And, just the fact that it's the Heart of Dixie v. the cradle of villains Sherman and Sheridan would always put Alabama on my temporary Go! list.
