    The only congregational decisions we make deal with the church budget and if/when we ever call a new pastor.

    We are a new {6 monthes} church. we have elected to use an elder board to vet issues and deal with options but the congregation is asked to pray and decide on important issues. of course we only have 20 members and 5 elders so as we grow we may adjust the model. as pastor i lead the elder board and insist on looking to Scripture for insight first. one issue we are dealing with is constituting and registration with the irs and state of michigan. not sure what legal requirements are. we have decided as a congregation to follow applicable legal requirements, and the elder board is investigating what is required and what is voulentary from a legal standpoint
