The next time President Obama hits the links, it will be his 100th round of golf since coming to the White House. That’s quite a milestone in just 3 1/2 years. As it takes him about six hours to drive to the greens and complete 18 holes, Mr. Obama has spent the equivalent of four months’ worth of work time golfing. Meanwhile, the U.S. economy has been stuck in a sand trap.

In contrast, George W. Bush played 24 rounds of golf and never played after 2003 .

Yes but President Bush put us in this sand trap and walked away without trying to get us out.

All that time at the golf course and yet Obama still found the time to continue and even expand Bush's never ending global war policy and global banker bailouts. In other words he's had plenty of time to twist the big knife in our back that the Bushes and Clintons put there. Imagine what he could have done to hurt the country had he only played 9 holes each time he went to the golf course.

We would be better off if he stayed on the golf course.

If the President, regardless of who it is, takes some time to relax whether it is golf or anything else, then so be it. Even Obama needs some time off.

This is usually my attitude as well. I don't get too worked up over the amount of vacation time Presidents or their spouses/children take but 100 rounds of golf in 3 1/2 years is excessive. Consider that in the DC area you can't play 4 or 5 months of the year. That means Obama is golfing about 4 times a month, or once a week.

I think it is wrong for the President to go golfing once a week.

Suddenly you are worrying about how the taxpayers dollars are used? That's funny!

Why? I think we spend far too much on our military. We spend more than any other country and as much as as the next 9 countries combined. Our healthcare system is far too expensive but we have the 18th best healthcare system in the world. Prescription drugs are much more expensive here than in other countries. That's why people go to Canada to buy drugs.

Now do estimates on how much forgiving all student debt would cost. And then do the cost of supplying free health care to illegal immigrants. Then do the cost of having open borders.

Why? Because you are all for throwing tons of money on every liberal idea that has no basis in the Federal Constitution. Once again, we spend on our military because this is a dangerous world plus are paying for the defense of half the world's countries.

Our healthcare system is expensive because of government mandates and prescription prices are high because the pharmaceutical companies do so much research and development on new drugs - all that costs money. There is nothing "free" in this world, contrary to Democrat politicians claims in having "free this" and "free that".

The last thing we want to do is follow your idea of giving the government control over the whole system. Quality will go down, doctors will leave the profession, and wait times for procedures that now happen quickly will take years because of an overburdened system. No thank you.

Bush loved to golf, but he quit because of the criticism he received for doing so. Obama felt no need to curtail golfing, because the press didn't criticize him like they did Bush. Trump does whatever he wants.
