Royal Canadian Chaplain Corps, from 1950-1958...Three years in Korea serving with the 2nd Bn PPCLI airborne. One year serving on the navy's Assiniboine, following years with the RCASC until I resigned from the forces. Served as chaplain for a retired group of 2nd World War veterans until about 10 years ago when they finally disbanded.

    Guess I've done my time.

    Cheers,

    Jim

When Comze left France and arrived in Zweibruecken, the unit was eventually renamed MATCOM! Actually for a while the unit operated out of rail cars prior to setting up shop in Zweibruecken.
Click here for a full history of OUR unit,

When I was there, I was the item manger for light-wheeled vehicle PEMA assemblies
The last I heard it is now the 200th Theater MMC

Wow! Thanks for the history tour Salty. Actually, when I was about to get discharged, we knew about the projected move, as President (formerly General) Charles de Gaulle was trying to get the Americans out of the country.... Incidentally, with a buddy of mine, we went over to Germany (forgot the name of the city) in search of a computer bank - as it simply disappeared during the move from Verdun to Orleans (Maison Fort). Actually we found it in Germany! It was quite a mission (fighting red tape and rank all along the way).
