Why are we not surprised?I applaud Kapernick for taking a stand by not standing.
Why are we not surprised?
Or, perhaps because we know that Zaac would prefer to applaud poor behavior rather than address solutions, thereby ensuring dissension and conflict on the message board?Perhaps because like many on the right, your "we" doesn't think the problem Kapernick is protesting exists?

Not standing during the national anthem does nothing to protest the perceived things going on. Instead, it shows dishonor to those who fought and died for the very freedom he's exercising.Or perhaps I know that what the lot of you consider poor behavior I consider necessary behavior. He's attempting to lead people to a resolution on that issue by getting them to first acknowledge it. So if you and the rest of those who don't like the fact that he's bringing attention to something that so many don't want to recognize think its poor behavior, big deal.
White folks said the same thing and worse about Muhammad Ali and MLK Jr for their many protests.
You seem to be under the notion that applauding him is wrong. I think it's right. And I might just buy a Kapernick jersey now.
If there is dissension and conflict it's because you obviously think I have to agree with the status quo. I don't, especially when it's wrong.
Poor behavior indeed.
Poor behavior is cops systemically murdering unarmed folks and getting paid leave.

If he wants to protest, do it in a way that doesn't spit in the face of those who made it possible to protest.
Do it in a way that doesn't further the racial divide.
Causing further division isn't a wise way to close a gap. It's like trying to build a bridge with dynamite.
There is something SEVERELY wrong with the lot of you. What do you suggest that black people do? I swear that a lot of white folks are acting like they have lost their minds. Police are running around MURDERING unarmed black people and black and white people who find this wrong are the ones furthering the racial divide? SMH.
Let's not be delusional.
I get the idea that too many people would rather focus on whether or not a person is patriotic than whether or not they have been converted. Not from this site,
but from some patriotic sites patriotism is equal to Christianity in too many minds.
