Not standing during the national anthem does nothing to protest the perceived things going on. Instead, it shows dishonor to those who fought and died for the very freedom he's exercising.

If he wants to protest, do it in a way that doesn't spit in the face of those who made it possible to protest. Do it in a way that doesn't further the racial divide. Causing further division isn't a wise way to close a gap. It's like trying to build a bridge with dynamite.

During the civil rights protests they carried the flag with pride and honor. The movement to dishonor the flag and therefore by extension the country is a revolutionary tactic. Obama, Hillary, and their ilk are all revolutionaries as is BLM. It is a feigned movement for the purpose of revolutionizing this country into federalizing as much as possible but in this case all local police departments.

NFL players blast Kaepernick's decision to sit during national anthem

Former teammate Alex Boone isn’t taking any more hits for embattled San Francisco quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

The offensive guard suited up for five seasons alongside Kaepernick, blocking as defenders tried to get Kaepernick off his feet. Now, Kaepernick is voluntarily taking a seat, choosing to sit during the playing of The Star-Spangled Banner to protest perceived racial injustice. It may be a good thing that Boone, now with the Minnesota Vikings, is no longer wearing the same jersey as Kaepernick.

“We probably would have had a problem on the sideline,” Boone told ESPN.

Boone’s brother J.J. was a Marine and served in Iraq, making Boone one of several current or former NFL players, many with military connections, to speak out about Kaepernick following his second sitdown before a preseason game on Friday.

“You should have some respect for people who served, especially people that lost their life to protect our freedom," Boone said. “We're out here playing a game, making millions of dollars. People are losing their life, and you don't have the common courtesy to do that. That just drove me nuts.”

That's your opinion. He apparently thinks standing during the anthem while folks are being denied liberty and justice is also dishonorable.

A lot of folks have proclaimed that folks died for the very freedom he is exercising. But his point is that they died in vain because everybody ain't being afforded that freedom and liberty that some of you like to tout.

If he wants to protest, do it in a way that doesn't spit in the face of those who made it possible to protest.

Causing what further division? The police are still murdering unarmed black people at a crazy clip. If there is a divide then good because apparently there are a lot of white people who care so little about life that they can always find a reason to give police officers a pass when it comes to their murdering black lives.

I've said for years on THIS board that a lot of folks seem to have confused what God's word says with what the GOP says. How many times have folks in the GOP referred to the President as unPatriotic or unAmerican because he hasn't done things the way that they want?

If he's a Muslim, he's just as lost now as he was when folks were lauding him for being a good "Christian.
