(oh, and USC & Notre Dame are for comic relief...you know how they're coddled by the powers that be)

:thumbs:And even worse, the student athletes at a couple of schools who deserve a shot to prove they can be the best in the country. They get this shot at every other level in collegiate football and in others sports, too. If I want backroom deals to arrange a competition between two arbitrarily selected foes, I'll replay the 2008 Presidential election

Let me pose the question another way: is there a team or two that you would leave out of the BCS? Should Iowa be in? What about Boise St/TCU?

You do realize that we will have at least two undefeated teams after the season is over, and maybe three.

Anyway, the best argument is Cincinnati's. They beat a solid schedule and won their BCS conference with an undefeated record. But they're a liability: do you want a team that may have an interim coach for your title game?

The rules need to change about recruiting. It's not fair to the youngsters, the coaches, and the universities to have to choose what to do (like Notre Dame, and whomever will fill that slot, for example). Push back the recruiting period by a month and signing day to March 1. It's totally arbitrary anyway.

Yes, but do you realize that only one of them is legitimate because they are in the "right" conference?
