I'd like your input on the poll and in the comment section. I think this will be an interesting OP.

Because I didn't have room for an "All of the above" I allowed you, the poller, to vote on as many as you see fit.

Have fun, and don't get a cramp hitting the button up to ten times...

It is our fault for not demanding politicians who are well paid to govern this nation do their job, in fact are rewarded for not doing their job. We reelected Obama after providing no leadership. We reelected the Congress after three years of no budget and taking off more days than they worked. We reelect the same idiots and expect a different result.

I've been watching the democrats and republicans on tv with their stern faces. It's almost comical in a sick sad sort of way. Here we have two groups of people that have been taking turns creating the problems we now face and they expect us to believe they are doing us a big favor by rolling up their sleeves and "working together" to find a solution for the problems they created?

Washington DC needs an enema.

Agreed. Our forefathers would have never allowed this to happen, the whole lot of them would have been tarred and feathered years ago.

We need to stop all foreign aid, bring all our troops home, not spend one new dime on anything until we are debt free and have a balanced budget. No investments in the future, no more spending or however else our spendaholic in chief wants to spin it.

That is a good post. I made the same comment about rolling up the sleeves and going to work a while back. The stern looks reminds us of the phoney looks of the Pharisees when they were praying as they squinted their eyes to see who was looking. However one wants to look at it, it is nothing but play acting to increase their power. If you or I did our jobs the way Congress has over the last three years, we would have been fired two years, eleven months and twenty nine days ago.

I like the enema comment, maybe a real revolution is coming. How long will America endure this corrupt bunch of politicians?

Your comment reminds me of the verses the Lord asks about Sodom, "how many righteous men are there..............?" I often wonder, of the 535 members of the Congress, how many even attempts to do what is right, honorable, and moral according to the Constitution and wanting to serve the people? I would guess less than ten, if that. The other two involved in this mess, the President and Vice-President, certainly fall in line with the 525.

Is there a real revolution coming? It could be. However, one thing to remember is that we elected all 537 of them. How can we revolt against something we created? Maybe we have the government we deserve. Their character reflects ours as a nation. We on this board, or most of us, speak from a minority position, based on values we have not seen as a majority for decades.

If there is a revolution, it will be those of us who do have some of our founding principles as a minority, against a majority of spineless lemmings with no standards that feel the world owes them a palace and a kingdom.

And yet we have people who say 'you have to vote for one of the major party's candidates even if they are evil - just choose the less evil.'

Until that mindset changes nothing else is going to. The US does not need revolution or a tarring and feathering of legally elected officials or any kind of medical procedure. It needs people to have the courage to really vote for change. US citizens have a chance every TWO years to effect change, but simply don't do it. They just keep voting for the less evil ones. If you vote for evil you are going to get evil.

It doesn't matter anymore. Too many people depend on government to vote against any big government candidates.

The age of fiscal responsibility is gone forever and the nanny age has begun in earnest. Money isn't real anymore and government debt never has to be repaid, so why worry about it.

Secure your own future if you can. The United States I have known and loved for a lifetime, a country that rewarded innovation and hard work, is gone.

The takers have taken over.

Wonder what would happen to the Untied States economy if we had a fifty year debt forgiveness, total from every individual, to companies, and levels of government, like in the Old Testement at the year of Jublilee?

That about sums it up, I'm sad to say.

The age of personal responsibility and accountability is gone.

I don't think I am ready to give up on the USA and write the obituary quite yet. If believers get serious about praying for those in leadership as we are commanded to, start living like Kingdom people instead of just talking about it, and stop stabbing each other in the back over silly things maybe God will send a revival.
