I, Carly
The other woman with her eye on the White House.

The people here eat up her personal journey, from medieval history major and law-school dropout to high-powered tech executive. They gasp in sympathy when she mentions the death of her stepdaughter to “the demons of addiction” and Fiorina’s own battle with cancer. They listen raptly as she identifies a “sense of disquiet” among Americans over the future of the country. Fiorina ticks the problems off—a stagnant economy, an out-of-touch federal government, a “web of dependence” that has captured too many citizens—building up to what’s supposed to be her most profound diagnosis.

“I think the American people also fear that we are missing something. I think what they think we’re missing is leadership.”

“Like Hillary Clinton, I too have traveled hundreds and thousands of miles around the globe, but unlike her, I’ve actually accomplished something,” Fiorina said, in what’s become a staple applause line. “You see, Mrs. Clinton, flying is not an accomplishment. It is an activity.”

Don't be fooled by this woman...she is a shark.

I believe you. It's hard for a woman to have achieved the success she has in the business world without being a "shark".

OYOH Nobody would ever have heard of Hillary if it wasn't for Bill. She has no accomplishments of her own. But she is surely a shark, as well.

Carly Fiorina started as secretary and wound up as CEO of Hewlett Packard. Held that job for about 6 years I believe before being fired or forced out. She ran against Barbara Boxer in 2012 for Senator. Obviously she lost!

She may be a shark but she obviously is a competent one. I started as a young engineer and retired as an old engineer!

Engineers are noted for trying to making things better for mankind. They are great people.

A for Carly, she was fighting cancer or just got over cancer in her last race I think.

As for her being a shark, the term shark should be reserved for lawyers, who especially look for blood in the water in order to eat.

Carly just sold computers, etc. She is such a doll! I wish that all women were smart like Carly is. I just adore intelligent women.

I believe she is also strongly pro-life!

I think she's gunning for the VP slot and that she's a weak candidate in a potentially very strong field.

I hope she campaigns much better than she did back when she was challenging Babs - some of the things she said and did then make one cringe:

"I'm a lifelong registered Republican but I haven't always voted, and I will provide no excuse for it. You know, people die for the right to vote. And there are many, many Californians and Americans who exercise that civic duty on a regular basis. I didn't. Shame on me."

And then there's this disaster debate where Boxer wiped the floor with her:

You better do better than that this time, honey.

“What Hillary Clinton desperately wants to talk about is that she gets to be the first woman president. What she desperately wants to talk about is there’s a war on women. What she desperately wants to talk about is playing the gender card,” Fiorina continues. “If I am standing next to her on a general election debate stage, she can’t talk about any of those things. You know what she’s going to have to talk about? Her track record.”

She's got a point.

She can also be critical of Hillary without being accused of being a bully. No man can.

She was one of the executives responsible in blowing up Lucent Technology. She ain't getting my support.

Nor mine. Yet.

I just find her an intrigueing foil to Hillary mania at the moment.

Try Jim Webb.

Jim Webb talked a good fight, but when push came to shove, he voted with democrats all the time on just about everything.

He voted in lock step with democrats on Obamacare, making him a party to the biggest legislative fraud perpetrated on the American people in history.

Yet he will never , ever be the nominee for democrats. He's not radical enough for the radicals that run the democrat party. Yet his voting record is too far left for even moderate republicans.

If his voting record had matched his rhetoric, I could get interested ...real fast. But it didn't.

Once elected, he got in bed with the left very quickly.
