    I wonder what others in this board think who is the city of Rev. 17 & 18?

    I know who is the city of Rev. 17 and 18, and it is Jerusalem, the city of the apostate Jews.

    I know many people will say it is Rome, but this city is not found in the Old Testament, where we should go to find out who is the city of these chapters.

    The city is also the Harlot. Just read thru the OT and it is clear who the Harlot was.

    And Revelation isn't found in the OT either.

    Rome has been known as the "city of seven hills" since its founding, which was shortly before the time of Hezekiah. Rome is the capital of the people who bore its name, who've done more harm to the Jews and to the early Christians than anyone else ever, even the nazis. Rome is the seat of the largest quasi-Christian cult of all time.

    You better re-read the OT. Most of the symbols and imagery of Revelation are straight out of the OT.

    It is the city that rules over the kings of the earth. What city would that be today?

    Perhap New York, the headquarters of the United Nations.

    Rome, the ETERNAL city --

    Isa.
    47:5-8

    O daughter of the Chaldeans: for you shall no more be called, the lady of kingdoms.

    Therefore hear this now, you who are given to pleasures, Who dwell securely, Who say in your heart, 'I am, and there is no one else besides me; I shall not sit as a widow, Nor shall I know the loss of children';
