Who WAS The Antichrist Than?

lol. I have enjoyed your questions lately, though I don't have much of an input to offer.
This is correct as to Wesley, but I never quite grasped what he meant. Was he referring to the pope extant at Wesley's time or did he mean all popes, i.e., the pontifical office?
What scripture teaches a coming Antichrist?

One more question when the bible speaks specifically of a false prophet would he be considered an anti-christ or false christ?
The beast that is prophesied to rule the world would he be consider an anti-christ or against Christ and all that He did?
The bible tells that antichrists are apostate Christians
and those who deny Christ's deity, etc.
The Antichrists are only mentioned in 1st and 2nd John. There is never one, single "The Antichrist" nor is the term ever applied to a world leader.
If people read what the bible says about the antichrists instead of so called prophecy teachers it would clear up a lot of misunderstanding.
