Who ya gonna call? If you had time for one more call!

I was wondering about the following scenario: You are in the hospital or ER and told you had less than an hour to live. Who, if you could do it, would you call for your final contact with family, loved one or friend prior to leaving this life?

I know all of us would pray and make sure we were all right in the eyes of God, BUT, let's say you were spiritually ready to exit life and enter glory, but had some spare minutes before kicking off, who in the world would get your very last attempt to communicate with a fellow human, and what would your conversation be centered around??? Just wondering.

If it were me, and let's say my dearest friend or loved one were not at my bedside,they would get that call, and it would be to just reassure them of my love, while expressing my gratitude for giving me not only their heart (love), but for making my world so awesome while I was here!

Reminds me of the 9/11 tower calls made.

I probably wouldn't call anyone, rather I would make a recording on my phone.

Basically, it would be as Paul's final letter. It would be my "2 Timothy" letter to all that really know me. Encouraging, warning, establishing and letting all who would care to listen know that the Lord Jesus Christ lead me, leads me, and will attend to removing the yoke of this world ("time of my departure") as I cross over from life to life. Such an unyoking of responsibility, of cares, of burdens of ministry done is what Paul describes in that single word, "departure."

Decades ago, a good man with terminal cancer did this for his children. He made an audio tape to be given to them at different times as they grew. Their first date, their first heart break, their first car, their graduation, their wedding, ...

I don't know if I would make any calls. I'd probably be too busy yelling at the hospital workers that, since its hopeless, stop everything and don't run up any big bill for nothing. I have 5 great nieces and nephews I want to profit by my ticket out.
