I and many others have been edited so many times on this board because they don't want to offend anyone. What I want to know is, why are you people so easily offended?

Ps 119:165 Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.

    Matthew 18:6-7,10-11 (KJV1769):

But whoso shall offend one of these
little ones which believe in me,
it were better for him that a millstone
    were hanged about his neck,
and that he were drowned in the
    depth of the sea.
7 Woe unto the world because of offences!
for it must needs be that offences
come; but woe to that man by
    whom the offence cometh!
    ...

10 Take heed that ye despise not one
of these little ones; for I say
unto you, That in heaven their
angels do always behold the face
of my Father which is in heaven.
11 For the Son of man is come
to save that which was lost.

It is also called common decency, which is also a testimony unto the Lord Jesus Christ. Something we can ALL learn a little about. You never win by name-calling and you surely won't gain any crowns in glory.

    Cheers,

    Jim

This topic reminds me of some recent things posted on the BB. One where mods say there is no censorship on the BB and then you go to another thread and find it's been censored. LOL

Learn some manners. Jim, and most of those you've attacked, has forgotten more than you know -- and may ever know. Which you'd know if you'd taken the time to explore the board before jumping in like an accusing banshee.

Pardon. Feel free to edit my post, moderators.

Act like a christian and you shall be treated like one!... To many times people think that just because they wear the name of Christ they are free to act like the devil. If you talk it... Walk it!... I feel we should treat others as we would like to be treated... The golden rule!

I would like to say something about our Primitive Baptist brethren of the past. They have debated every denomination in the past... And during the debate the other denomination noticed how even though the PB disagreed he debated doctrine only and not the debater. He never once attacked the mans character but in a christian manner held a christian debate.

There are many brethren who have disagreed with me on points of doctrine... but why does one believe one way and another believe another way? Can they both be right with the proper application?... I think they can and over the years I've learned its really not that important!... Am I serving God and talking the talk and walking the walk when I am not here?... I may say one thing but God knows the truth if I am true to what I profess!... Brother Glen [IMG]

TheHarvest - Your language and postings need almost continual monitoring. This is NOT an unmoderated free-for-all where you can spout filthy, hateful, crude, or demeaning language.

I am unhappy that you are allowed to continue to post, personally. I am offended . . and it takes quite a bit to get me to that place.

You are a sad caricature of a Christian. Sad. And yes, I already know what you think of me. [IMG]

Harvest, "offend" often means "cause to stumble" in the KJV.

It is part of being meek....being patient...not being angered....being Christlike.

Jesus did not teach us to go out and provoke others.

Jesus taught us to love one another more than we love ourselves. To Love others as we love him.

Do not answer this out loud to me...keep this in your thoughts..... but when you see me do you see Jesus? Others?

When you see Jesus in everyone you meet, you see things in a whole new light.

Correction is with love. Sharing is with love.

So many times I have seen people who say they are Christians, know everything about God, and Jesus, and can quote the Bible. They are good workers in the Church, and they have wonderful lives. But then some of them miss one thing....they do not have the intimacy in their relationship with God.

A teacher and a leader also has that intamacy with its students/followers/flock.

We must not just see the words Humbled Servant...but we must be that humbled servant.

Why are people who call themselves Christians
sometimes so rude, Harvest? Why do they twist
Scripture, trying to make it mean what it was
    never intended to mean?

Harvest, what I would like is to be able to forget
the posts you and your pal wrote, which were so
pointedly demeaning to all women and to any
godly man here. It would help if, rather than
continuing with this "poor me" thread, you wrote
an apology here to all of us whom you offended.
You would be surprised how welcoming we
would al be--how forgiving, how ready to put
those threads behind us and start new.

The scripture cited does not support the
    contention presented. Recommend reading
the REAL 1611 AV instead of the KJV1873 MV.

    Pfalmes CXIX:165 (KJV1611):
Great peace haue they which loue
thy law & +nothing shall offend them.

+Heb. they shall have no stumbling blockes.

    Pfalmes CXIX:165 (KJV1611, alternate):
Great peace haue they which loue
thy law & they shall have no stumbling blockes.

Oops, that is what BrianT may have meant
when he said: //Harvest, "offend" often means "cause to stumble" in the KJV.//

There's such a thing as politeness in conversation. Many who have been edited have been guilty of not being polite to others. I'm sure I've been guilty of that myself.

It is only the Love of God and the fellowship of The Holy Spirit that prevents me from showing my anger towards you.May I suggest that all of us pray for this poor misguided soul,as this guy needs help.

I don't know why you would feel anger towards me, or why you feel I am misguided etc. But we all need prayer and help...so I will say "thank you" for offering it and asking it of others. You wouldn't mind telling me what I may have done to make you angry would you? I would like to appologize for anything I may have done to do so. ;) </font>[/QUOTE]i'm pretty sure he was referring to me. it's no big deal, unlike them i can take criticism.
