Why did you start posting on the BB?

1. I am not a "chatter", but I did a Google search for Baptist discussion

2. I was a new mama and wanted some adult conversation on a theological level.

3) Wouldnt still be here otherwise!!

I was wandering around, looking for a safe place and found the Baptist 1000. This was the very first board I ever joined and it has always been my go-to place for getting answers to questions. I know I will get so many different opinions, I can weed through them all and figure it out for myself.

From here I moved on to MSN Group where I used to manage a successful one for Christian ladies. Today I still belong to a couple of groups, even help manage a few and have one for my own pictures, but the Baptist Board has always been my home.

I've met some wonderful ladies here, and even though we have never met, just seeing you all here makes me know I am with friends.

 

1) It was a link I followed. The Music Ministry Forum was just what I was looking for, so I thought. It only took a day or so to see there's nothing there to do with ministry. They need to change the name to The Music Forum. I like to read and post in Pastorial Ministries, even though it doesn't have anything in common with music, it offers Q & A's to what I was looking for.

2) Fellowship and likemindness.

3) For the most part. Have found some are just too silly and should take their posting here a little more serious.

I was doing a search on Baptist message boards
2) What inspired you to join?
Mostly Baptists, good discussions, some other boards don't get (or didn't then( a lot of posting.

Been here almost 5 years, so I guess so

 

I found the BB through a chat room website of people who came here.

I wanted to argue.

Yeah.

 

1. I was on a Primitive Baptist room and they shut it down to "implement new programming", but they never reopened it. I was searching for another and found this one by accident.

2. Because I'm a big mouth and I love to talk and argue.

3. You better believe it. I had thought about dropping a year or more ago, when several now-booted people were still posting, and I even quit reading and posting for a couple months, but I had the fever by then and couldn't stay away. I'm glad I came back.(even though I am exhausted all day from being up so late every night.)

 

1. Found it eons ago when there were only a few members. Had a different sn back then that only Dr. Bob and Clint would probably remember. Left for a long time and refound it recently.

2. Old habits die hard.

3. It's been interesting.

 

I used to post on a Board that regurly broke out into arguments, I liked it here because of the respect that people tended to show for one another, even when they were in disagreement. So I ditched the old board and have not looked back scince!

 

1) I had a question about KJV-onlyism I wanted to ask.

2) Boredom. I have a job that demands that I'm on the churchproperty a lot of the time, but there's a lot time when I don't actually have to do anything for half an hour or so. I use the computers in the churchlibrary to post, I don't even own a computer myself.
