Why does Benny Hinn wear a white suit?

My preacher never wears white and I live in the US. I think this is not the norm. I see many services on US television, both local and national, and the pastors tend to wear dark blue, brown, and black suits a lot.

 

Why does Benny wear a white suit? Maybe he thinks it symbolizes his "purity" or "holiness" or might (yeah right).

I however know the true reason. His sense of fashion stinks.

 

I don't remember the last time Pastor Rick (Dr. Holcombe) wore a white shirt! We have 'dress down summers' where people are told to come dressed as they'd like. This past Sunday, Pastor Rick didn't even wear a tie. He had an open dress shirt and sport coat. He had, however, just returned from preaching a week long revival.

 

No it's not cultural here in these parts and I'm not sure BH is even an American.

 

Most likely because he or his cronies think it is a help toward keeping people coming and money rolling in... the same reason most preachers wear suits of any color.

 

He's already said we were all little messiahs; maybe next he'll say we're all vanilla ice cream cones and he just wants to dress the part.

 

Maybe he's a 1970s disco king?

An all-white suit on a man looks tacky and low-rent. Benny Hinn is little more than a showman, and he is one of the few people alive who can out-sleaze the Las Vegas strip.

 

Why does ole Benny do anything he does? To promote Benny!

 

Maybe that is What all the heretics wear these days.

 

He is John Travolta's uncle.

 

Stop slamming Benny!!!! Maybe thats all he can afford. He has a choice between spending $3000 a night for a modest hotel or buying a new suit each day.. he likes the modest hotel instead.

 

The Good guys always wear white hats, he just doesn't want to musssss up his hair.

Many years ago someone at BJU started a craze and all the graduates seemed to wear tan with white buck shoes - a bunch I ran into in midwest and west coast anyway.

 

He is NOT John Travolta's uncle. John Travolta looks like Mr. Ed... Benny... looks a little like one of those folks who was after Indiana Jones in the Temple of Doom.

 

It makes people think he might be a christian.

 

I think I read somewhere that Benny wears white in order to emulate his hero...Katherine Kuhlman, who also wore white...white dresses, that is.

Other than Hinn, I know of no other preacher who wears a white suit. So, I would not call it a norm.

Oh, I just thought...several years ago I saw W. A. Criswell in a white suit. White suit...white hair...red-cover bible. Very impressive looking.

 

I betcha if you asked Benny---that even Benny will tell you he doesn't know why he wears white suits!!

Come to think about it----I doubt if Benny knows much of anything!!!

 

I heard the same thing about his hero was Kuhlman and sits by her grave because her spirit talks to him .Really read that .
